摘要: A fluid flow plate having first and second fluid flow channels on a fluid flow plate with an active area of fluid flow fields having one or more arrays of fluid transfer points (301, 302, 303) disposed along an edge of the flow field for communicating fluid into or out of flow channels. A first and second distribution gallery (15, 16, 21) with peripheral edge portions bounded by the arrays including at least one pair of inlets in external edges of the fluid flow plate and wherein the first fluid distribution gallery is shaped such that the combined lengths of the first-gallery second peripheral edge portions are longer than the first-gallery first peripheral edge portion, and wherein the internal edges of the flow plate comprise edges of a hole, aperture, or port passing through the flow plate, and the external edges of the flow plate comprise an outer peripheral edge of the plate. The edges each may comprise a castellated structure (31, 32, 34).

摘要: Methods for simultaneously dispensing a first fluid pattern at a first dispense region with a first applicator and a second fluid pattern at a second dispense region with a second applicator. The first and second applicators are moved toward their respective dispense regions with a positioner. While dispensing, the second applicator is moved relative to the first applicator in a direction or directions parallel to a first axis, a second axis, and/or a third axis, the axes being mutually orthogonal. The first dispense region may be provided with a unique first tilt and/or a unique first contour relative to the reference plane and along the third axis. Systems for dispensing fluid include a primary positioner supporting a first applicator, and a secondary positioner coupled to the primary positioner and supporting a second applicator and configured to move the second applicator relative to the first applicator.

摘要: A device may receive a manifest that identifies a plurality of content fragments associated with a content asset. The device may receive or access instructions for inserting secondary content into a location of the content asset that does not align with the boundaries between the content fragments. Based on the received instructions, the playback device may generate updated manifest information that identifies a first modified content fragment and a second modified content fragment. The location for inserting the secondary content in the updated manifest information may align with a new boundary of the first modified content fragment or the second modified content fragment. The device may share the updated manifest information, and may receive a modified manifest file, or content asset, comprising the modified content fragments.

摘要: An exhaust system for an internal combustion automotive engine, such as a V engine or boxer engine, includes a left exhaust tract connectable to a left group of cylinders and a right exhaust tract connectable to a right group of cylinders. Each exhaust tract includes a tract structure defining a tract inlet for receiving exhaust gas ejected from the group of cylinders to which the exhaust tract is connectable, at least one exhaust outlet opening into the atmosphere, and a connection pipe extending between the tract inlet and the exhaust outlet. The connection pipe includes an inlet aperture for receiving exhaust gas from the tract inlet and an outlet aperture for transferring exhaust gas towards the exhaust opening. The left and the right connection pipes are joined to realize a pipe junction such that the connection pipes form a common connection aperture for transferring exhaust gas and the exhaust system includes at least one valve member for opening or closing the common connection aperture.

摘要: Productive electrochemical reactions can often occur most effectively in proximity to a separator dividing an electrochemical cell into two half-cells. Parasitic reactions can often occur at locations more removed from the separator. Parasitic reactions are generally undesirable in flow batteries and other electrochemical systems, since they can impact operating performance. Flow batteries having a decreased incidence of parasitic reactions can include, a first half-cell containing a first electrode, a second half-cell containing a second electrode, a separator disposed between the first half-cell and the second half-cell and contacting the first and second electrodes, a first bipolar plate contacting the first electrode, and a second bipolar plate contacting the second electrode, where a portion of the first electrode or the first bipolar plate contains a dielectric material. The first electrode and the first bipolar plate still define a contiguous electrically conductive pathway when containing the dielectric material.

摘要: Parasitic reactions, such as production of hydrogen and oxidation by oxygen, can occur under the operating conditions of flow batteries and other electrochemical systems. Such parasitic reactions can undesirably impact operating performance by altering the pH and/or state of charge of one or both electrolyte solutions in a flow battery. Electrochemical balancing cells can allow rebalancing of electrolyte solutions to take place. Electrochemical balancing cells suitable for placement in fluid communication with both electrolyte solutions of a flow battery can include: a first chamber containing a first electrode, a second chamber containing a second electrode, a third chamber disposed between the first chamber and the second chamber, an ion-selective membrane forming a first interface between the first chamber and the third chamber, and a bipolar membrane forming a second interface between the second chamber and the third chamber.
