    The balance of the alloy is cobalt and usual impurities. The alloy provides a novel combination of strength and ductility after long-term exposure to elevated operating temperatures as found in gas turbines and jet engines. A fine-grain steel article made from the alloy is also disclosed. The steel article is also characterized by a continuous surface layer of Al2O3 and Cr2O3 that protects the alloy from oxidation at the elevated operating temperatures.

    摘要: The disclosure relates to a carriage apparatus for carrying a tool string down a wellbore in a wireline logging, and an orientation apparatus and hole finder device for a wireline logging tool string. In some embodiments the carriage includes a protection structure which extends longitudinally around a wheel of the apparatus to thereby prevent a side of the wheel from contacting a wall of the wellbore. In some embodiments an orientation apparatus and hole finder are arranged so that the orientation apparatus orientates the hole finder device in the wellbore so that a tip of a nose section of the hole finder is elevated above a low side of the wellbore by a height and offset from and above a longitudinal axis of the tool string.

The valve is configured to allow gas to be displaced into the cylinder through the gas inlet during a first stroke direction and second stroke direction of the piston in the cylinder, and for allowing gas to be displaced through the gas outlet during an opposite of the first stroke direction and second stroke direction of the piston in the cylinder; a motor, selected from one of a stepper motor, a feedback motor, a stepper motor with feedback, and a linear motor, connected to the piston to move the piston in the cylinder; and a patient interface in fluid connection with the pump to receive gas via the gas outlet and to deliver the gas to a patient.

    摘要: A device for centering a sensor assembly in a bore comprises a plurality of arm assemblies connected between first and second support members. Each arm assembly comprises a first arm pivotally connected to the first support member by a first pivot and a second arm pivotally connected to the second support member by a second pivot joint. A beam is connected between the first and second arms, the first arm pivotally connected to the beam by a third pivot joint and the second arm pivotally connected to the beam by a fourth pivot joint. A wheel is rotationally mounted to the beam on a rotational axis located axially between the third and fourth pivot joints to contact a wall of the bore in use. A third arm is pivotally connected to the first support member by a fifth pivot joint having a fifth pivot axis axially spaced from the first pivot axis, and is pivotally connected to the beam by a sixth pivot joint having a sixth pivot axis. The third arm is configured so that the wheel is maintained at a radial extremity of the device as the first arm and second arm pivot relative to the first and second support members to move the wheel between a maximum outer diameter and a minimum outer diameter of the device.

    摘要: A channel electron multiplier having a high aspect ratio and differential coatings along its channel length is disclosed. The elongated tube has an input end, an output end, and an interior surface extending along the length of the tube between the input end and the output end. The channel electron multiplier also has first and second conductive layers formed on the interior surface of the tube. The first conductive layer is selected to provide a first electrical resistance, a first electron emission characteristic, or both, and the second conductive layer is selected to provide a second electrical resistance, a second electron emission characteristic, or both. A method of making a channel electron multiplier having two or more different conductive layers is also disclosed.
