摘要： A process of pre-applying a vapor, water and ice layer to a sheathing panel before the sheathing panel is assembled onto rafters of a roof is disclosed, comprising the steps of positioning a face of the sheathing panel for accessibility, removing a plastic film from the vapor, water and ice layer, thereby exposing an adhesive surface of the vapor, water and ice layer, joining the adhesive surface of the vapor, and water and ice layer to the face of the sheathing panel to form an assembly, thereafter, transporting the assembly to the roof, and securing the assembly to the rafters of the roof.An article of manufacture for reducing water and ice damage caused by an ice dam on a roof is disclosed, wherein the article of manufacture is pre-assembled prior to assembly to rafters of the roof, comprising a sheathing panel for assembling on the rafters of the roof having a first face and a second face, a vapor, water and ice layer having a first side and a second side, the second side having a plastic film covering an adhesive backing, means for removing the plastic film to expose the adhesive backing and means for assembling the vapor, water and ice layer to the sheathing panel, wherein the second side of the vapor, water and ice layer having the adhesive backing is placed onto the first face of sheathing panel before assembly of the sheathing panel to the rafters of the roof.

摘要： A simplified, low-cost actuator used in conjunction with a lumbar support device designed to significantly decrease manufacturing costs and assembly time. The present invention produces similar movement as the more expensive actuators but does so with a considerably smaller number of parts. The actuator consists merely of four pieces—a handle, a spring, a plunger, and a mounting bracket. The symmetry of design of this actuator allows it to be installed more easily in any orientation and on either side of the seat. Furthermore, the actuator may be adapted for use with a tension cable or a drive rod. The simplicity, low-cost, and ease of use associated with this actuator makes it an attractive alternative to other actuators disclosed in the prior art. Finally, this actuator allows adjustable lumbar support to be offered in a cost effective manner in lower tier seating.

摘要： A block attacher for attaching blocks to slats as stringers for pallets includes a slat dispenser disposed to dispense individual slats to a slat driver, the slat driver being selectively positionable. A first block dispenser dispenses a block to an assembly station where a position fixture is disposed to operatively cooperate with the slat driver and the block dispenser to position the dispensed block abutting the individual slat when the slat driver is in a first selected position. At least one other position fixture is disposed to operatively cooperate with the slat driver to position a second dispensed block abutting the individual slat when the slat driver is in a second selected position. The subsequent blocks may be dispensed by the same block dispenser as the first block, or by different dispensers. A block fixator is disposed to fix the first dispensed block to the slat when said slat driver is in the first selected position and further disposed to attach the at least one other block to the individual slat when the slat driver is in at least one other position.

The crop streams passing through the agricultural machine are conveyed with less turbulence. Long-stalked straw is deposited in a swath for later use, and short-stalked straw and chaff are discharged out of the agricultural harvester separate from and without whirling up again the crop swath.
