摘要: In a OCT interferometer it is necessary to balance dispersion within the reference arm with dispersion within the object arm. This is normally done by replicating within the reference arm the components found in the object arm. This adds to the complexity and cost of the OCT interferometer. A method is provided for determining the design of and designing a simplified OCT interferometer, in which the reference arm contains only a single piece of glass of a single glass type. This reduces the cost and complexity of the OCT interferometer, and reduces power loss and undesired reflections within the reference arm.

摘要: An integrated system of technology applications and methods to provide comprehensive management of poultry waste improves the productivity of poultry housing facilities while reducing the environmental and public health impacts of poultry production. The method utilizes a plurality of housing units, each including plenum flooring and ventilation to improve the health of birds as they grow from hatchlings to market size adults. After the birds are removed from the housing units, manure is immediately removed from the flooring system and preferably transported to a processing facility. The units are cleaned and fumigated with ozone so that they are ready to receive a new flock within approximately 48 hours from removal of the preceding flock.

摘要: A pneumatic screwing device includes a spindle for rotatably supporting a screwing tool, a pneumatically drivable rotor for rotating the spindle and a stator for housing the rotor. A gap is defined between the rotor and the stator to receive pressurized air and a supply conduit in the stator delivers pressurized air to the gap. Discharge conduits in the stator discharge pressurized air from the gap. In order to make the pneumatic screwing device more efficient than known devices, there is provided an expansion chamber in communication with the discharge conduits for expanding the pressurized air, the expansion chamber being positioned on an opposite side of the spindle with respect to the rotor and being in communication with the atmosphere. A switch for switching a screwing direction of the pneumatic screwing device includes seats arranged for engaging with locking elements that are slidably associated with the screwing device for maintaining the switch in an operating position corresponding to a desired screwing direction of the device. In order to make the switch more reliable and easier to handle, three seats are provided that are arranged in sequence, the locking elements engaging in the operating position with two of the three seats.

摘要: A terminal block assembly is provided, comprising a plurality of terminal blocks mounted on a common horizontal support member, including a supply terminal block connected with a voltage source, and a plurality of distribution terminal blocks connected with a plurality of loads, respectively, characterized in that the length and height dimensions of the terminal blocks are the same, but the width of the supply terminal block is greater than that of the distribution terminal blocks, and that the supply conductor contact arrangements of the supply terminal block are designed for connection with a supply conductor having a relatively large cross-sectional area, while the distribution conductor contact arrangements of the distribution terminal blocks are designed for connection with distribution conductors having a relatively small cross-sectional area. A conductive comb member extends transversely across the assembly to interconnect the electrical circuitry contained within the terminal block housings.
