摘要: An aerosol provision system for generating an aerosol from a source liquid, the aerosol provision system including: a reservoir of source liquid; a planar vaporizer comprising a planar heating element, wherein the vaporizer is configured to draw source liquid from the reservoir to the vicinity of a vaporizing surface of the vaporizer through capillary action; and an induction heater coil operable to induce current flow in the heating element to inductively heat the heating element and so vaporize a portion of the source liquid in the vicinity of the vaporizing surface of the vaporizer. In some example the vaporizer further comprises a porous wadding/wicking material, e.g. an electrically non-conducting fibrous material at least partially surrounding the planar heating element (susceptor) and in contact with source liquid from the reservoir to provide, or at least contribute to, the function of drawing source liquid from the reservoir to the vicinity of the vaporizing surface of the vaporizer. In some examples the planar heating element (susceptor) may itself include a porous material so as to provide, or at least contribute to, the function of drawing source liquid from the reservoir to the vicinity of the vaporizing surface of the vaporizer.

摘要: A faucet includes a spout, a proximity detector, a first valve, and a control circuit. The proximity detector is mounted on or in the spout. The proximity detector includes a light emitter and a sensor. The light emitter is configured to emit a beam of light. The sensor is configured to produce a signal in response to sensing the beam reflected by an object in a zone of detection. The first valve is configured to control a first flow of fluid to the spout. The control circuit is operatively coupled the first valve and the proximity detector. The control circuit is configured to receive the signal and cause the first valve to control the first flow of fluid through the spout after receiving the signal.

摘要: A blood sequestration device configured to isolate an initial, potentially contaminated portion of blood from the flow of blood of a patient, prior to directing the flow of blood to an outlet port where the blood can be accessed. The blood sequestration device including a body member having an interior wall defining a fluid conduit having a distal portion, a first proximal portion, and a second proximal portion, wherein the first proximal portion defines a sequestration chamber configured to isolate an initial portion of blood of a flow of blood, a vent path configured to enable the escape of gas initially trapped within the sequestration chamber.
