    摘要: A modular system is provided for assembling a structure to secure to opposite sides of a fracture in a bone of a subject. The modular system includes a plate with a perimeter including a plurality of openings. The perimeter defines an interior area within the plate. The modular system also includes a link with one or more openings along a linear axis defining the link. The one or more openings of the link include a connector to receive a fastener to be secured in the bone. The plurality of openings of the plate includes a first opening with an inner diameter configured to removably receive an outer diameter of the connector of the link so that the link is rotatably received within the first opening. A method is also provided for assembling the structure using the modular system and securing the assembled structure to opposite sides of the bone fracture.

    摘要: An apparatus (100), including: a hub (102) having a hub center (160); a securing mechanism (106) configured to fix the hub onto a flat surface; and an eccentric clamp disk (104). When the hub is fixed to the flat surface and nested in the eccentric clamp disk, an interlocking slip fit relationship exists between the hub and the eccentric clamp disk. The interlocking slip fit relationship enables infinite rotation of the eccentric clamp disk about the hub center and has a geometric interlock (170). The geometric interlock is configured so that when the eccentric clamp disk is pushed laterally into contact with the hub, the geometric interlock urges the eccentric clamp disk downward onto the flat surface.

    摘要: This Orthogonal Code Readout (OCR) electronically expands the dynamic range of CMOS active pixels by adding digital electron wells. The dynamic range of an active pixel is not limited by in-pixel capacitance. When employed as a thermal array readout, OCR simplifies thermal detector array fabrication by eliminating the need for large electron well capacitors. OCR also improves digital quantization beyond that provided by hardware digitizers.

    摘要: A rotor assembly, especially for a gas turbine, includes at least a first rotor disc and a second rotor disc, the two rotor discs are arranged directly next to each other. The first rotor disc has a center through hole and the second rotor disc has no center through hole but a rotor disc center. A flow restrictor assembly which restricts the effective flow cross section of the center through hole of the first disc is used to control or to adjust the cooling air through gaps of a form-fitting torque transmitting device.
