    摘要: A pedal comprises a spindle, a pedal body, and traction pins located in the pedal body. The pedal body rotates around the spindle. The pedal body has two surfaces configured to receive a shoe. Traction pins pass through openings in the pedal body and extend beyond the surface of the pedal body to form a platform for the rider's shoe. The heads of the traction pins are shaped to help secure the rider's shoe on the pedal. The traction pins are secured in the pedal body by fasteners that interact with the traction pins via holes positioned perpendicular to the traction pin openings.

    摘要: A system and method for analyzing a coil actuator of a type having a coil and a magnet. A current source selectively applies a first current to a coil of a coil actuator for setting a moveable part of the coil actuator to a first position. A recording system captures data corresponding to a back electromotive force voltage produced by oscillation of the coil actuator upon movement of the moveable part of the coil actuator to a second position. A processor applies a curve fit to the back electromotive force data for calculating a frequency characteristic and damping response of the coil actuator.

    摘要: An optical film has surface that reduces the occurrence of optical defects in a display using the film. In particular, the surface has randomized characteristics that reduce such defects as wet-out, Newton's rings, and Moiré effects. The film has a first surface free of regular structure, the first surface having a plurality of local height maxima, a characteristic measure of the first surface having a random value within a predetermined range. The film also has a second surface opposing the first surface. A method of making an optical film includes embossing a pattern lacking regular structure onto a first surface of a film, wherein the first surface has a plurality of local height maxima, a characteristic measure of the first surface having a random value within a predetermined range. The characteristic measure may be a difference between the actual heights and a nominal height of the film surface, average separation between the local height maxima on the surface, or slope angle of the first surface proximate a local height maximum.
