Abstract:
A computer component cooling device to cool one or more heat-emitting components of a computer comprising a fan that draws air there through in a flow path; a heat transfer tank including one or more channels therein to circulate a heat transfer fluid there through; a pump that pumps the heat transfer between the heat transfer tank and one or more component heat exchangers to cool the one or more heat-emitting components of the computer; a heat exchanger including a plurality of heating elements extending therefrom and into the flow path; and one or more Peltier devices including one or more cold sides thermally coupled to the heat transfer tank and one or more hot sides thermally coupled to the heat exchanger.

Abstract:
A first memory (1203) has environmental-impact information stored therein regarding at least the provision of specific packaging materials, use of specific packaging materials, and post-use processing of specific packaging materials. A second memory (1204) has packaging information stored therein. A computer (1201) having access to these memories processes (104) the packaging information as a function, at least in part, of the environmental-impact information to calculate a single corresponding value to represent a score as pertains to the overall environmental impact of the packaging. This single corresponding value is then presented (105) to a user. A user interface (1206) will permit a user to enter the aforementioned packaging information and/or to receive the aforementioned single corresponding value. An optional third memory (1205) can store at least one weighting factor as pertains to environmental impact that can be used when calculating the value.
Abstract:
An upper horizontal surface 9, 10, 11, comprising an access-ladder 7 with step-landing-platform 52, the upper horizontal surface 9, 10, 11, defining at least one surface for use as any or all, a surface for sleeping on, a surface for sitting on, a surface for leaning on, wherein at least part of either or both the access-ladder 7 and the step-landing-platform 52, is positioned on or adjacent the upper horizontal surface 9, 10, 11, and the step-landing platform 52 facilitates access between the access-ladder 7 and the upper horizontal surface 9, 10, 11. The invention relates to improvements in accessing at least one upper bed for either or both domestic and commercial use within a room of a building, or within a passenger space; said passenger space defining a passenger cabin, either motorised or towable, and comprising any of, a motorised caravan, a trailer, a trailer caravan, a fifth-wheel trailer, a fifth-wheel trailer caravan, a boat, a ship, a bus, a coach, an aircraft, and a railway carriage.
Abstract:
Removable large wheels for a luggage case, having two permanent sleeves inserted in holes drilled in the pre-existing small wheel mounting blocks which contain the pre-existing small wheels. Two axles, one in each of the sleeves, with a permanent stop at the inner end of each axle and a spring loaded button at the outer end of each axle. The large wheels have an extended tubular part at the hub on the inner side of each wheel which prevents the wheel from touching the outer edge of the luggage when installed. The axle can be extended outward to accept the large wheel, which is maintained on the axle by a spring loaded button. When not in use, the axle can be retracted back into the sleeve. When retracted the axles are prevented from moving in either direction by the pressure of the spring loaded buttons against the inner wall of the sleeves.
Abstract:
A nail clipping cylinder provides a layer of memory foam upon which the tip of the finger or thumb rests when inserted, a blade and one or more sensors which detect the presence of the finger or thumb, extend grippers to gently hold the tip of the finger or toe, detect the contours of the portion of the nail which is to be removed, and position the blade as necessary to trim and remove that portion. Preferably, this detection and positioning system is comprised of a fiber-optic camera, image recognition software, and a servomotor. The user may then press a button to activate the blade. The nail is safely trimmed and the clipping is retained by the cylinder for later disposal. The cylinder is manufactured entirely from recycled materials.
Abstract:
A reclosable food package is provided for packaging and displaying a foodstuff, such as a shingled stack of sliced bacon, in a highly visible manner, including a generally rigid tray member for receiving a foodstuff, a flexible film for covering the foodstuff and adjacent tray base areas uncovered by the foodstuff in a vacuum sealed manner, and a generally rigid lid member that manually reclosably attaches to the tray member, where at least one of the tray member and lid member is transparent.
