    摘要: Disclosed is a cationically polymerizable composition which shows improved storage stability and whose polymerization initiation temperature or curing temperature is controlled. In the case where the composition is thermosetting, it yields a cured product of three-dimensional structure excellent in mechanical properties, electrical properties, adhesive properties, heat resistance, moisture resistance, chemical resistance, and the like. The cationically polymerizable composition comprises a cationically polymerizable compound selected from vinyl compounds, lactones, cyclic ethers, and the like, a heteropolyacid selected from phosphotungstic acid, phosphomolybdic acid, silicotungstic acid, silicomolybdic acid, and the like as a cationic polymerization initiator, and a stabilizer selected from heteropolyacid salts as an inhibitor of cationic polymerization.

    摘要: Disclosed is an organic electroluminescent device (organic EL device) that utilizes phosphorescence and is improved in luminous efficiency and fully secured of driving stability. The organic EL device comprises an anode, an organic layer containing a hole-transporting layer, a light-emitting layer, and an electron-transporting layer, and a cathode piled one upon another on a substrate while the hole-transporting layer is disposed between the light-emitting layer and the anode and the electron-transporting layer is disposed between the light-emitting layer and the cathode. The light-emitting layer comprises an aluminum heterocomplex or dimeric complex of deuterated substituted or unsubstituted 2-methyl-8-hydroxyquinoline (Me8HQ-D) in which the hydrogen atoms in the methyl group of substituted or unsubstituted 2-methyl-8-hydroxyquinoline (Me8HQ) are deuterated as a host material and an organic metal complex containing at least one metal selected from groups 7 to 11 of the periodic table as a guest material.

    摘要: This invention relates to a process for preparing high-purity aromatic oligomers by effectively separating an organic layer containing aromatic oligomers or the reaction products of a polycyclic aromatic compound with formaldehyde from an aqueous layer containing an acid catalyst in a simplified manner, hitherto regarded difficult to accomplish, and obtaining high-purity aromatic oligomers from the organic layer containing a reduced amount of impurities. In separating the aqueous layer containing the acid catalyst and the organic layer containing the oligomers from the reaction mixture formed by the condensation of a polycyclic aromatic compound and formaldehyde, the emulsion phase is broken by adding a nonionic or cationic surfactant in an effective amount and an alkali in an amount sufficient to neutralize 1–70% of the acid in the acid catalyst, the organic and aqueous layers are separated and the aromatic oligomers are recovered from the organic layer.
