摘要: A helmet selection/customization process, which comprises obtaining a 3D scan of a user's head; identifying a retail helmet variant that would fit the user's head; providing the user with an option to select the identified retail helmet variant or design a custom liner for a base helmet; and in case the user selects to design a custom helmet, causing generation of a 3D model of a custom liner based on the 3D scan and a 3D model of the base helmet. The method includes determining, based on the 3D scan, parameters associated with the user's head; and accessing a database storing parameters associated with a plurality of retail helmet variants, wherein the identifying is carried out based on processing of the parameters associated with the user's head and the parameters stored in the database, so as to identify one of the variants in the plurality of retail helmet variants.

摘要: A boot form for a hockey skate is made of multiple plastic materials having different hardness properties, or different flexural moduli, and is formed via an injection-molding process or another similar process. One or more of the plastic materials may be reinforced with fibers of glass, carbon, aramid, or another stiffening material to strengthen one or more regions of the boot form. For example, pellets of a first plastic material having a flexural modulus of approximately 190 MPa (e.g., a polyamide elastomer block amide) may be injected into a mold to form a softer upper region of the boot form. And pellets of a second plastic having a flexural modulus of approximately 20,000 MPa (e.g., a Nylon 12 with long glass fibers) may be injected into the mold to form a stiffer lower region of the boot form. Additional skate components may then be attached to the boot form.

摘要: The invention relates to a leg pad for a hockey player. The leg pad extends along a longitudinal axis and comprises an upper portion, a bottom portion and a band. The upper portion has a knee cap for covering a knee joint of the player.
