摘要： An exhaust gas recirculation system for an internal combustion engine including a valve body having an exhaust port adapted for fluid communication with a source of exhaust gas, an intake port adapted for fluid communication with the intake manifold of an internal combustion engine, and a valve member movably supported within the body between open and closed positions thereby controlling the flow of exhaust gas from the exhaust port to the intake port. A diaphragm housing is operatively mounted to the valve body and supported thereby. The diaphragm housing defines a vacuum cavity in fluid communication with a source of negative pressure and an atmosphere cavity in fluid communication with a source of second pressure. A diaphragm member is disposed between the vacuum and atmosphere cavities and is operatively connected to the valve member. The diaphragm member is movable in one direction in response to negative pressure induced in the vacuum cavity and in the opposite direction in response to a biasing force to move the valve member between its open and closed position. An integrated vacuum regulator is mounted to the system and supported thereby. The vacuum regulator is operable to control the movement of the valve member between its open and closed positions by controlling the negative pressure induced in the vacuum cavity. The system also includes an integrated pressure sensor which senses the difference between the pressure in the vacuum cavity and the pressure at the intake port.

摘要： Failsafe apparatus and method are disclosed for controlling fluid flow from syringes. One or more syringes are positioned so that the piston of each syringe is caused to be precisely displaced to thereby safely deliver medicament from the syringe to a patient. To effect movement of each piston, a rack is provided, either as a part of the piston or secured thereto, and longitudinal movement of each rack is effected by rotating an associated pinion gear that is connected with a pulse-driven, stepper motor utilized in a power-efficient electromechanical configuration, with the operation of the stepper motor being accomplished through dual-redundant state machines controlled by a pre-programmed memory unit, and with the apparatus being repeatedly subjected to a plurality of error checks and data integrity verifications to assure continued proper operation.

摘要： Described herein are apparatuses, methods and systems to monitor the performance of one or more mass flow controllers that supply gases to deposition, etching, and other manufacturing processes. A bypass loop is provided in fluid connection from either the process line or the vent line. In the bypass loop is a flow detector, such as a digitized mass flow controller. The flow detector takes one or more measurements of flow of gas from a mass flow controller, and data from such one or more measurements is used to provide information about the accuracy and/or precision of the mass flow controller. Also disclosed are ways to correct for back pressure or back vacuum in the process line.

摘要： A new and improved EGR valve having a valve body having an inlet port and an outlet port with a valve member moveably supported within the valve body between the inlet and outlet ports. A control cap is connected to the valve body and contains an integrated sensor that is used to provide an engine control module with pressure readings from the valve body and the interior portion of the cap. Additionally the cap also has an integrated zero emissions system that is capable of preventing the release of harmful chemicals into the atmosphere.
