The frame has a first end (104, 304, 404, 504, 604), a second end (106, 306, 406, 506, 606) and a length L. The first end of the frame comprises a first locking part (108, 308, 408, 508, 608) and the second end of the frame comprises a second locking part (110, 310, 410, 510, 610), the first locking part and the second locking part being arranged to form a lock (202, 312, 432). The removal thread is attached to the first end of the frame. The removal thread is configured to guide the first locking part to the second locking part. 摘要: Disclosed are an inserter and an inserter kit for an intrauterine system. The inserter comprises an insertion tube having a first end and an opposite second end, wherein the first end is operable to removably receive the intrauterine system and a handle having a first end portion and an opposite second end portion, the first end portion of the handle is coupled to the second end of the insertion tube. The handle comprises a handling mechanism for controlling movement of the insertion tube with respect to the intrauterine system. The inserter also comprises an indicating mechanism operatively arranged in connection with the insertion tube and the handle, the indicating mechanism is communicably coupled to the handling mechanism and is operable to provide indicative signals corresponding to operational stages of the inserter. The indicative signals comprise at least one light signal and the indicating mechanism comprises a power source.

摘要: An inserter for an intrauterine system can include a handle having an opening, a slider arranged in the opening, a plunger attached to the handle, an insertion tube attached to the slider and arranged around the plunger, and a lock adapted to reversibly lock at least one removal string of the intrauterine system. The lock can include a main part comprising an opening, the main part being rotatably mounted on a shaft or axle, an extension of the main part, and a counterpart. The at least one removal string passes through the opening of the main part and is immobilized between the main part and the counterpart when the lock is in a locking position. The slider is configured to press against the extension of the main part and turn the main part around the shaft or axle to release the at least one removal string as the slider is moved backwards.

摘要: The invention is describing an intrauterine delivery system comprising non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) and a progestogenic compound, containing anti-inflammatory active compound in the frame material and that the progestogenic compound is contained in a silicon based reservoir attached to the frame, wherein the frame consist of a thermoplastic material. A further object of the invention is to fabricate drug-containing T-intrauterine systems (I US) with the drug incorporated within the entire backbone of the medical device by using 3D printing technique, based on fused deposition modelling (FDM™). Indomethacin was used to prepare drug-loaded poly-caprolactone (PCL)-based filaments with different drug contents 5-40 wt %, namely 5%, 15% and 30% wt %: of Indomethacin.
