摘要： An active munition element for combatting a target provided with a jamming device, the element including: a front charge; a rear charge mounted behind the front charge and having a hollow charge element; components connected for actuating each charge, the front charge being operative for developing kinetic energy in the target so as to neutralize the jamming device and the rear charge being actuated after the front charge to be effective against the target without interference; and a tube defining a narrow longitudinal channel having a smaller diameter than, and coaxial with, the rear charge, the channel extending forwardly from the rear charge and having a front end region housing the front charge.

摘要： A disc-shaped warhead adapted for being fired from a barrel weapon, and particularly for being stacked with a plurality of similar warheads in a load-carrying missile for ejection one after the other. The warhead has a plurality of slave missiles disposed in radially directed firing tubes, and a parachute connected to the warhead and causing a directional, braked descent in the target area. Each of the slave missiles has a proximity fuse to detonate it individually after reaching a predetermined distance from the ground or other target.

摘要： The invention relates to a multiple purpose warhead which is provided with a spike-forming cladding, with projectile-forming layers and with preshaped splinters, respectively splinter layers. For the simultaneous combatting of hard and semi-hard material targets as well as soft targets the impact precision, the penetration capacity and thereby the effectiveness of the multiple purpose warhead is increased relative to the multiple purpose warheads of the state of the art.The multiple purpose warhead of this invention includes within a multiple purpose warhead casing 7 at least three effective parts 1, 2, 3. This arrangement achieves optimum, however, different, target effectiveness and a separate dosable explosive charge 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 corresponding to the different target requirements by providing corresponding different claddings for each effective part. There is provided between a first effective part formed as a hollow charge 6.1 and a third effective part formed as a splinter-forming warhead 9 a projectile-forming layer 22 which forms the second effective part. There is provided within two mutually confronting conically shaped recesses 10, 11 arranged symmetrically about a longitudinal axis 12, on the one hand, an ignition arrangement 14 and, on the other hand, an inert-insert 13, whereby a common ignition of all effective parts is made possible and flaw-free detonation wave guidance is also effected not only with a spike-formation, but also with the projectile-formation thereby increasing the destructive capacity of the multiple purpose warhead.

摘要： An apparatus for pressing a fluent powder into a rigid body comprises a die formed with an upwardly open and laterally closed pressing cavity adapted to hold a mass of the fluent particles to be pressed and a punch having a lower portion substantially complementary to and fittable in the pressing cavity and having a lower face engageable with the mass in the cavity. This punch is formed with a throughgoing vent passage having a lower end opening at the lower face and an upper end opening thereabove to the surroundings. An actuator can displace the punch relative to the die between an upper position clear thereof and a lower position engaged in the cavity and compressing the mass therein and through an intermediate position between the upper and lower positions. A valve body in the passage permits free gas flow therethrough when the punch is in and between the intermediate and upper positions and blocks flow therethrough between the intermediate and lower positions.
