The shaft bearings are carried in bearing jewels guided in the bore of a fixedly arranged bearing block with the aid of a guide bolt. Two support surfaces for the bearing jewels are inclined relative to a plane which is perpendicular to the direction of adjustment of the shaft, and are pressed against corresponding support surfaces on the bearing block when the shaft is in working position.
