Abstract:
Device for closing a chain, particularly a bicycle chain, comprising a first and a second pair of end outer plates connected by at least one pair of inner plates, a pair of rivets so engaging a pair of end holes of the first and the second pair of outer plates and the corresponding holes of a pair of, inner plates arranged at the ends of the chain.
Abstract:
A carrier device for a bicycle, comprises an anchoring portion, which is to be fixed to the frame, an anchoring portion, and a holding element, within which the object is introduced. The holding element changes its longitudinal axis upon introduction of the object into the holding element.
Abstract:
A transducer comprising a fixed part and a mobile part which are mounted for relative motion about a given axis. On the shaft of the rotor part there is fitted a magnetized element consisting, for example, of an annular element diametrically magnetized at a single pair of poles. Mounted on the fixed part is a pair of Hall-effect sensors which are set angularly staggered by 90null about the axis of rotation of the shaft. The Hall-effect sensors generate corresponding output signals having values that vary in a continuous range. The values of the output signals generated by the transducer uniquely identify the relative positions of the aforesaid fixed and mobile parts with respect to the axis of rotation.
Abstract:
Bicycle crank comprising: an elongated core with a first and a second end, a first and a second insert arranged on the ends of said core, and a high-resistance fibre coating incorporated in a plastic material matrix forming a casing incorporating said core and said inserts. The core is a pre-formed element and each insert is connected to the respective end of the core by means of a respective union element with recesses for establishing a shape coupling with an insert and the respective end portion of the core.
Abstract:
An electronic control system for cycles, for use with a set of sensors, a set of actuators, and a set of control members associated to a cycle. The system having a first processor unit for processing and displaying information; a second processor unit for communication and for interfacing with said set of control members; and a third processor unit for interfacing with said set of sensors and said set of actuators. The first processor unit, the second processor unit, and the third processor unit are connected together via asynchronous bi-directional communication channels.
Abstract:
A tool for inserting and extracting pins of roller chains, comprising a body having a pair of teeth designed to engage two chain links to be connected or separated by insertion or extraction of a pin. The tool comprises a screw member which can be operated manually and which is provided with a punch designed to co-operate with a pin that is to be inserted or extracted. The tool comprises two retaining elements which can move between an inoperative position, in which the chain links can freely engage and disengage the teeth, and an operative position, in which the teeth block the chain links in a pre-set position with respect to the teeth (26).
Abstract:
A spoked wheel comprised of a hub and a rim connected by first and second sets of spokes, each set having a plurality of radial spokes and a plurality of non-radial spokes.
Abstract:
A steering bearing assembly for a bicycle comprises a lower bearing unit including a set of balls arranged between a first race connected to the head tube of the frame of the bicycle and a second race connected to the steering tube, which connects the front fork of the bicycle to the handlebars. The second race is connected to the steering tube with interposition of a bottom supporting ring having a plane undersurface which rests against a stop surface of the fork. The bottom supporting ring incorporates elastic means which recall it towards a configuration of minimum diameter in order to keep the bottom supporting ring blocked on the steering tube and at the same time enable its disassembly by means of easy and fast operations.
Abstract:
A clamp for fixing a seat post (14) to a seat tube (12) provided with a slit (18) set in a longitudinal vertical plane (A). The clamp comprises: a pair of deformable branches (24a, 24b) defining a through hole having a cylindrical inner surface (20); a slit (22) between the aforesaid elastically deformable branches (24a, 24b); and a tightening screw (26) set in such a way as to bring up to one another two surfaces (30a, 30b) facing one another of said slit (22) and to reduce the diameter of said cylindrical surface. In a mounted configuration in which the aforesaid tightening screw (26) extends in a position corresponding to the through slit (18) of the seat tube (12), the slit (22) of the clamp (10) opens out onto the aforesaid cylindrical surface (20) in an area that is displaced with respect to the slit (18) of the seat tube (12).
Abstract:
An integrated control-unit and power-supply assembly usable on board a bicycle includes a box for containing an electronic control unit, the said box being fixable to the down tube of the bicycle in the area where the bottle cage is fixed, or else underneath the crank case, and being provided with a receptacle-like tubular appendage which receives, by fast-coupling means, the end of a cylindrical battery holder. One end of the cylindrical battery holder carries a sensor device, for example a magnetically operated sensor, which is set at a distance from the crank pin that is substantially equal to the length of the crank arm. The said sensor co-operates with a permanent magnet carried by one of the pedals to emit a pulse at each revolution of the crank arms. The assembly according to the invention can be exploited for carrying one or more sensors, of any type.
