摘要: An industrial process using kestose hydrolases to enable the use of sugar mixtures containing 1-kestose in the industrial production of sucrose (as crystallized sugar) by providing a method for the conversion of 1-kestose into sucrose and fructose in a sugar solution, containing kestose and more than 10 mM sucrose (3 g/L), and comprising the enzymatic hydrolysis (preferably using 1-FEH enzymes—EC 3.2.1.153) of 1-kestose. The process further provides a method of producing a polypeptide having 1-kestose hydrolase activity and a composition comprising the polypeptide.

摘要: There are provided compositions and methods for transforming plants, preferably monocot, and even more preferably, sugarcane. The transformation methods involve infection of plant tissue with Agrobacterium, and co-cultivation using culture medium comprising high concentrations of gelling agent, with the result of inhibiting the exacerbated growth of the bacteria and increasing the transformation frequencies. The invention includes regenerating transformed plants, and the transformed plants themselves.

摘要: A system and a process for the production of ethanol and related products from lignocellulosic biomasses (second generation—2G-ethanol), particularly from sugarcane bagasse and straw is provided, however not limited thereto, integrated with conventional processes for the production of ethanol (first generation—1G-ethanol) such as, for example, from sugarcane juice and/or molasses (either in sugar and ethanol plants or in autonomous distilleries), corn, grain, wheat, sugary sorghum, white beetroot, among others, including the recovery/reuse of streams and effluents. More specifically, an integrated process for the production of ethanol and related products where the process warrants increased efficiency particularly in the use of the raw material, steam, electric power and treated water is provided.
