摘要: The present invention discloses a device for retrieving a medical capsule. The collection pan comprises a flange to adapt to a rim of the toilet bowl and a collection cup joined to the flange around the capture opening. The flange comprises a capture opening for collecting feces, and two wings of the flange extended from the capture opening are placed over the rim of the toilet bowl to support the collection pan. The collection cup comprises a cup wall and a sifting part at bottom of the collection cup. The sifting part comprises a plurality of holes to allow liquied or soft feces to pass while preventing the capsule to pass. The flange and the collection cup are made of rubber or rubber-alike materials. The flange is flexible to fold down and to bend up. The cup wall is flexible to collapse and to extend from collapsed state.

摘要: Method for leveraging battery residue energy and a capsule endoscope using the method are disclosed. The capsule endoscope is capable of performing one or more functions at a first throughput or a first peak current when the battery has sufficient energy. According to this method, whether the battery energy is sufficient is determined. Upon determining the battery energy being insufficient, at least one function of the one or more functions is performed at a second throughput lower than the first throughput, or at least one function of the one or more functions is switched to another function requiring a second peak current lower than the first peak current

摘要: A method and apparatus of objective assessment of images captured from a human gastrointestinal (GI) tract are disclosed. According to this method, one or more images captured using an endoscope when the endoscope is inside the human gastrointestinal (GI) tract are received. Whether there is any specific target object is checked. When one or more specific target objects in the images are detected: areas of the specific target objects in the images are determined; an objective assessment score is derived based on the areas of the specific target objects in a substantial number of images from the images; where the step of detecting the specific target objects is performed using an artificial intelligence process.

摘要: An endoscopy capsule having an image collecting capacity includes a deformable member configured to inflate when exposed to body liquid. The deformable member includes an effervescent material. When the effervescent reacts with water the resulting Carbon-Dioxide gas reduces the specific gravity of the endoscopy capsule. The capsule is contained within a shell or dome when swallowed. The shell or dome is configured dissolve in either a low or high pH environment.

摘要: A method of reducing ghost in images captured using a capsule endoscope while travelling in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. The captured images contain ghost caused by reflections of multiple light sources by capsule housing of the capsule endoscope. The method derive, from the plurality of images, a ghost model comprising multiple ghost coefficients for relating light energies from the multiple light sources for a given image with ghost signals at multiple pixel locations for the given image. De-ghosted images are generated by compensating the plurality of images using estimated ghost signals based on derived ghost coefficients and the light energies from the multiple light sources. The process of deriving, from the plurality of images, the ghost model comprises removing any sensor gamma or any other non-linearity in pixel values of the plurality of images associated with the light energy.

摘要: A method and system for displaying images captured by an in vivo imaging device are disclosed. Embodiments according to the present invention display image sequence data in a first display area. When a first bookmarked image with annotation information is displayed in the first display area, a first thumbnail image in a second display area corresponding to the first bookmarked image is replaced to indicate an occurring correspondence between the first bookmarked image and the first thumbnail image corresponding to the first bookmarked image being displayed. In one embodiment, the method further comprises displaying the first thumbnail image in the second display area when one other image of the image sequence data is displayed in the first display area after the first bookmarked image is displayed.

摘要: The present invention discloses a capsule device with specific gravity control. The capsule device comprises a capsule unit adapted to be ingested by a human subject, and an inflatable balloon comprising an effervescent formulation inside the inflatable balloon. The effervescent formulation comprises sodium carbonate, potassium bicarbonate or both with excess citric acid and the inflatable balloon is attached to the capsule unit. After the capsule unit with the inflatable balloon attached is swallowed, the inflatable balloon starts to inflate so as to lower the specific gravity, of the combined device comprising a combination of the capsule unit and the inflatable balloon, when the inflatable balloon is exposed to body liquid and the body liquid gets in touch with the effervescent formulation inside the inflatable balloon.
