    摘要: Monitoring current draw of an actuator associated with a rotating arm on a round baler during a net wrapping cycle is used to determine the position of the rotating arm and actuator, as well as to determine the net tension. The current draw of the actuator may be correlated with the home and insert positions of the rotating arm during the net wrapping cycle; thus by monitoring the current draw, the rotating arm and actuator position is determined and may be provided to aid an operator. The net tension during the net wrapping cycle is a function of the rotating arm and actuator current. A calculation of net tension is determined and provided to an operator, allowing the operator to verify performance issues related to the net tension.

    摘要: A microcontroller emulates advancement of a speed sensor for a motor, rather than having a physical movement of the speed sensor. The microcontroller calculates an advancement time based on the motor's efficiency. The microcontroller measures a motor speed utilizing a tachometer signal transmitted from the speed sensor. The microcontroller subtracts the emulated advancement time from the motor speed to generate a commutation countdown time. The microcontroller switches or commutates outputs when the commutation countdown time has elapsed. The microcontroller measures an actual advance time, which is a time between the commutating of the outputs and a receipt of the next speed sensor interrupt. The microcontroller calculates an anticipated motor speed by adding the actual advance time to the commutation countdown time.

    摘要: The invention relates to a device and method for treating diabetic patients on insulin therapy. More specifically, the invention includes apparatus for infusing insulin into a patient in an amount determined by the patient's carbohydrate intake, blood glucose level, and the amount of insulin calculated to be present in the patient at the time the therapy is to be administered. In one embodiment, an insulin infusion device having an on-board processor obtains a patient's blood glucose value from a remote sensor and receives input from a user indicating their recent meal intake. The device may include an on-board food database for determining the carbohydrate content of the patient's recent meals and compare that with recent insulin deliveries into the patient to determine the insulin present in the patient prior to determining an appropriate insulin dosage.
