摘要: A backlight assembly that does not use a bottom chassis is presented. The absence of bottom chassis reduces manufacturing cost, simplifies the assembly process, and facilitates heat dissipation. The backlight assembly includes a lamp, a light guide plate, a mold frame and a securing mold. The lamp unit includes a lamp that generates light and a lamp cover that partially encloses the lamp. The light guide plate receives the light from the lamp unit and guides the light toward the front of the backlight assembly. The mold frame receives the lamp unit and the light guide plate through an open portion. The securing mold is coupled to the lamp unit and combines with the mold frame to secure the first lamp unit. The backlight assembly relies on one mold frame to hold its components together.

摘要: Disclosed are a device and a method for controlling a motor. According to a specific embodiment of the present disclosure, an input shaft of a motor is provided with a low-resolution absolute position detector and an output shaft of the motor is provided with a low-resolution absolute position detector having a resolution greater than or equal to a reduction gear ratio. An initial offset and an offset are defined accordingly, and a high-resolution output shaft absolute position is derived from a relational expression, which is defined by an input shaft absolute position received at a predetermined time interval, a derived offset, an output shaft absolute position, and the reduction gear ratio, such that it is possible to easily detect the high-resolution output shaft absolute position by using a low-price absolute position detector without the modification or addition of an actuator.

摘要: A backlight assembly includes a receiving container, a light-generating unit and a reflective sheet. The receiving container includes a bottom plate and a sidewall. The sidewall extends upwardly from an edge portion of the bottom plate to form a receiving space. The light-generating unit includes a light-emitting substrate disposed in the receiving space, light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and a driving circuit. The light-emitting substrate includes a light-emitting region and a peripheral region. The LEDs are disposed in the light-emitting region. The driving circuit disposed in the peripheral region controls the LEDs. The reflective sheet includes a center portion and a cover portion. The center portion is disposed on the light-emitting region. The cover portion is disposed on the peripheral region to cover the driving circuit.

摘要: Provided is a light source assembly that may facilitate the coupling and the replacement of light source units, and may thus reduce the manufacturing time, and a liquid crystal display (LCD) having the same. The light source assembly includes a light source unit, a circuit board, and a supporting plate. The light source unit includes at least one light source chip, a first terminal connected to the light source chip, and a housing accommodating the light source chip therein and having at least one fixing protrusion on one side thereof. The circuit board includes a second terminal that is connected to the first terminal and transmits a driving voltage. The light source unit is mounted on the second terminal. The supporting plate is disposed on the circuit board and includes an opening into which the light source unit is inserted. At least a portion of the housing is fixed to the circuit board through the opening.
