摘要: This invention is directed to devices and methods for stereotactic access, and particularly to a frameless stereotactic access device for accessing a body cavity and methods therefor. In general, a stereotactic device may include portions or features for fixing the device to a portion of a patient's body, such as, for example, a skull, such that the device may be generally spatially fixed in relation to the patient's body or part thereof. The stereotactic device may also generally include portions or features for guiding a medical device or other device at a particular trajectory in relation to the patient's body or part thereof.

摘要: The present invention is directed to methods and devices for tissue collection and analysis, and particularly to methods and devices for collecting, preserving and analyzing biopsy samples. In one aspect, a method for collecting a tissue sample includes disposing a collection device proximate and/or within a tissue, such as of a body, drawing in at least a portion of the tissue into the collection device, adhering the at least a portion of the tissue to at least a portion of the collection device and separating the sample and collection device from the remainder of the tissue and/or body. In general, the method of adhering the tissue sample to the collection device may also preserve the tissue sample, such as, for example, by altering the temperature of the tissue sample. In one embodiment, the method of adhering the tissue sample to the collection device includes lowering the temperature of the collection device and thus the tissue sample such that the tissue sample may adhere to the collection device and may also be preserved against degradation.

摘要: The present invention is directed to devices and methods for molecular association, particularly to devices and methods for hybridization of nucleic acids utilizing temperature gradients and imaging thereof. In one aspect, a molecular hybridization system generally includes a substrate having a plurality of molecular probes attached thereto, the plurality of probes being generally present in multiple copies arranged in localized formations on the surface of the substrate. The molecular hybridization system further generally includes a chamber that encloses the plurality of molecular probes such that a fluid containing sample may be applied and kept in contact with the substrate having the probes thereon. The molecular hybridization system also includes a temperature affecting system that generally produces at least one desired temperature on the surface of the substrate and in the adjacent fluid within the chamber.

摘要: Provided herein is a door for a mobile housing including a frame having an area of enclosure, with a plate disposed on the frame within the area of enclosure. Further provided is a stationary pane disposed on the frame within a portion of the area of enclosure. A movable pane is slidably disposed on the frame within a portion of the area of enclosure, having an open and a closed position. The movable pane is fitably received by the plate when in the closed position. The movable pane provides a handle access area within the area of enclosure that is operable in either the open or the closed positions of the movable pane.
