One exemplary method includes outputting a scrollable image; checking an entire scrolling amount of the image; measuring a drag-related variation when a drag is generated; calculating a scrolling rate based on the measured drag-related event with respect to a preset value; and outputting an image at a position corresponding to the scrolling rate based on the entire scrolling amount when the drag is cancelled.

摘要： Provided is an apparatus and method for extracting a direction of an image in a portable terminal without using a sensor for extracting direction information of a captured image. An apparatus for extracting direction information of an image in a portable terminal includes a camera unit and a control unit, wherein the control unit extracts a detection direction of an object from the captured image as direction information, and stores the captured image together with the extracted direction information for a subsequent display of the captured image in a normal direction.
