Abstract:
A computer host is mounted with a secondary panel. When power for the computer host is turned on, multimedia data are accessed from a disk drive, a hard disk driver, or a memory card reader etc. and output by a media player program, without needing to activate an operating system of the computer host. Video and image files are directly displayed on the secondary panel. Even when the power for the computer host is not activated, multimedia data stored in memory cards still can be accessed and then represented on the secondary panel.
Abstract:
A data exchange method between a first peer system having a requested data chunk and a second peer system having a credit includes: exchanging the credit of the second peer system for the requested data chunk of the first peer system; and using the credit received by the first peer system to exchange for a future data chunk from the second peer system at a later time.
Abstract:
A mini computer frame has a base and a plate pivotally connected to the base. The base has a receiving space and the plate has an arcuate surface formed on a rear face of the plate and received in the receiving space. A slot and slits are defined in portions of a bottom face defining the receiving space so that pivotal movement of the plate relative to the base is able to show the slot or the slits.
Abstract:
A securing device includes a central rod extending from the driving press to be movably mounted on a top board of the computer main frame and a base having an engaging plate movably attached to the base via a first spring which is sandwiched between the base and the engaging plate and a lateral rod securely extending away from the engaging plate to selectively engage with a free end of the central rod. When the central rod is longitudinally moved, the longitudinal movement of the central rod drives the lateral rod to move laterally and thus a hook which is formed on a side face of the engaging plate for extending through the first side board and the second side board to secure engagement between the first side board and the second side board is away from the first side board and the second side board and the second side board is free from engagement with the first side board.
Abstract:
A shoe includes an outsole having an end connected to a heel portion and a midsole located on the outsole. A support member supports on the underside of the midsole and has a side wall extending perpendicularly from a periphery of a rear end thereof. A connection piece has spikes which penetrate through the midsole and the support member, and are connected to a top of the heel portion. An insole is laminated on the midsole and a vamp is securely connected to a periphery of the outsole. The support member is made of composite fibers so as to bear the wearer's load and is not deformed because of its structural strength.
Abstract:
A structure for engaging a heel to a shoe, the heel having a tongue disposed to an underside thereof and the tongue having a first opening defined therein, the heel having a projection extending upwardly from a top thereof and a recess defined in the top, the projection having a groove defined in an inner portion thereof, a mediate element engaged to an underside of the tongue and having flanges extending laterally therefrom for being inserted into the groove, the mediate element having a second opening defined therein through which a hook element passes which is pivotally engaged between two inner sides defining the second opening and a hook portion of the hook element inserted into the recess of the heel.
Abstract:
A data distribution system includes a processor, a storage device, a display device and a network coupling device. The display device displays information of the digital data or relevant web resources regarding location-based services. The network coupling device allows at least one external device to couple to the processor to access the digital data or relevant web resources. Consequently, the data distribution system is able to inform the user availability of location-based services and allows user to access or interact with location-based services.

Abstract:
A toe cap includes an open end and a close end. The toe cap has a middle layer being a netted layer and having a longitudinal axis perpendicular to the close end, a fourth layer, a third, a second and a first composite fiber layer respectively disposed on an upper surface of the middle layer in sequence, and a fifth, a sixth, a seventh and an eight composite fiber layer respectively disposed to an lower surface of the middle layer in sequence. The first, the fourth, the fifth and the second composite fiber layer are respectively disposed to the middle layer at an angle of 0 degree, positive 30 degrees, positive 45 degrees and 90 degrees corresponding to the longitudinal axis. The eighth and the seventh composite fiber layer are respectively overlapped to the first and the second composite fiber layer at the same angles of the first and the second composite fiber layer.
Abstract:
An audio/video player includes a decoder and a data processing circuit. The decoder is capable of decoding data outputted from an optical storage device through a communication protocol. The data processing circuit includes a first interface electrically coupled to a network system for receiving an encoded audio/video data from the network system, and a second interface electrically coupled to the decoder and the first interface. The second interface emulates operations of the optical storage device and transmits the encoded audio/video data to the decoder through the communication protocol.
