    摘要: An embodiment of a system for the coexistence of a wireless local area network (WLAN) in power saving mode, and another type of wireless transmission is provided. A wireless transmission module is configured to transmit or receive data in two slots separated by an available window. A WLAN module is configured to obtain information regarding the available window and transmits a polling request (PS-Poll) at a supported rate higher than any basic rate in the available window in order to obtain buffered data from an access point (AP). The supported rate is encoded in a supported rate set while the basic rate is encoded in a basic rate set announced by the AP.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for traffic arbitration in a system are provided. In the system, a first module operating in a first protocol and a second module operating in a second protocol share one communication channel. An arbitration circuit schedules medium accesses thereof, in which a quota table maintains a utilization value updated in accordance with the amount of time slots consumed by a particular traffic type, and a time counter periodically resets the utilization value to a default value. When the arbitration circuit receives a request for medium access of the particular traffic type, the arbitration circuit grants the request according to the utilization value, such that the first module or the second module are not activated at the same time.

    摘要: A station connecting to an access point of a wireless local area network (WLAN) is disclosed. A radio frequency (RF) module demodulates received radio signals into baseband signals. A baseband module, coupled to the RF module, converts the baseband signals to a bit stream. A media access control (MAC) module, coupled to the baseband module, processes the bit stream to obtain data packets. An application specific integrated circuit (ASIC), coupled to the baseband module, and MAC module, causes the station to enter a sleep mode, wakes up at least one of the components of the station at a preset original wake-up time to receive a beacon frame from the access point, parses the beacon frame to extract traffic indication map (TIM) information specified therein, and determines a next wake-up time by adjusting the original wake-up time according to the TIM information.
