Abstract:
A method and a system for detecting and recovering a failure command are provided. The method is used in a native command queuing (NCQ) and at least includes the following steps. In step (a), several commands are executed on a disk simultaneously according to the NCQ. In step (b), whether a request time of the commands is longer than a waiting time is measured: if the request time is not longer than the waiting time, then step (a) is executed. In step (c), one command is chosen. In step (d), whether the chosen command is executed successfully is determined: if the chosen command is executed successfully, then step (f) is executed. In step (e), the chosen command is recovered. In step (f), whether all the commands of the NCQ are chosen is determined: if not all the commands are chosen, then another command is chosen and step (d) is repeated.
Abstract:
a manufacturing method for an electrophoretic display applying optical polymer material is provided. The main characteristic is that the charged pigment particles are confined with optical polymer material so as to achieve electrophoretic display. In the manufacturing process, a first layer of optical polymer material is coated on an auxiliary substrate having a buffer layer for performing an optical polymerization manufacturing process. After the polymerization, on the first layer of the optical polymer material layer, the manufacturing process required by the electrophoretic display is further performed. After a second layer of optical polymer material is coated on a substrate required by the electrophoretic display having a plurality of electrode patterns, by using a mask exposure, the optical polymer material is solidified to form a polymer wall, or a molding method is applied with ultraviolet irradiation for solidifying the optical polymer material so as to form the polymer wall. Next, in a hole formed by the polymer wall, the mixture formed by the charged pigment particles and a few amount of optical polymer material is filled, and the auxiliary substrate is aligned with the substrate so as to perform the mask exposure polymerization manufacturing process. Therefore, the auxiliary substrate is combined with the substrate. Finally, the auxiliary substrate is stripped out so as to finish the manufacturing of a single substrate electrophoretic display.

Abstract:
The present invention is method of liquid crystal alignment for a flexible LCD with micro-grooves comprising: coating a thermoplastic material onto a conductive film; heat embossing a plurality of micro-grooves formed by a mold, wherein the surface of said mold forms said plurality of micro-grooves; and aligning said plurality of micro-grooves with an aligning wall and grooves. The present invention also adds a plurality of liquid alignment technology in roll-to-toll micro cell LCD processes. The plurality of liquid alignment technology lets the micro cells of the LCD from without aligning with an alignment LCD mode (such as TN, VA or horizontal alignment) and achieves a better contrast and display quality.
Abstract:
A rotating parity redundant array of independent disk (RAID) and a method for storing parity of the same are provided. The rotating parity RAID comprises a first˜a third disk. The first disk has A1˜Am blocks for storing A1˜Am data respectively. The second disk has B1˜Bm blocks for storing B1˜Bm data respectively. The third disk has C1˜Cm blocks for storing C1˜Cm data respectively. The Cn+k data is an nth parity data obtained from the An data and the Bn data. The Bn+k+1 data is an (n+1)th parity data obtained from the Cn+1 data and the An+1 data. The An+k+2 data is an (n+2)th parity data obtained from the Bn+2 data and the Cn+2 data.
Abstract:
A method of forming spacers on a display substrate is described. First, a mould having a plurality of trenches is provided. Spacer are dropped onto the mould. When the mould is vibrated, the spacers fall into the trenches. Then, a display substrate having viscous substance on a surface thereof is pressed onto the spacers in the trenches of the mould, so that the spacers are bonded to the display substrate due to the viscous substance. Finally, the spacers bonded with the display substrate are removed from the trenches of the mould.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method for manufacturing liquid crystal display (LCD) device by utilizing photopolymer. A first photopolymer layer is coated on the support substrate and the substrate having a buffer layer is treated by photopolymerization. A substrate is treated by processes for forming an electrode layer, an alignment layer and projections as required by general LCD manufacturing. A second photopolymer layer is coated on the substrate having a plurality electrode patterns, an alignment layer and projections. Mask exposure is applied to the substrate and the photopolymer forms a polymer wall. Alternatively molding can be applied to the substrate along with linear ultra violet exposure. The photopolymer layer is hardened by such process and forms a polymer wall with alignment. The cavities in the polymer wall are filled with mixture of liquid crystal and small amount of photopolymer. The support substrate and the substrate are aligned and treated by mask exposure for coupling the support substrate to the substrate via photopolymerization. The support substrate is separated from the substrate and accordingly a single substrate LCD device is generated. The same method can be applied to manufacturing process for a LCD device without a substrate. The method increases yield rate also provides a different method for manufacturing a LCD device.
