Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for preparing a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon-conjugated diene block copolymer using a coupling reaction with improved ion stability. The method comprises (a) polymerizing a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon monomer in a hydrocarbon solvent with an organic lithium compound as a polymerization initiator to prepare a first mix solution comprising a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon block; and (b) adding a conjugated diene monomer to the first mix solution of step (a) to form a conjugated diene block on an end of the vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon block and to thereby prepare a second mix solution comprising a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon block-conjugated diene block, wherein the method further comprises (c) adding a Lewis acid to the first mix solution before, during or after polymerization of the vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon monomer of step (a).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a graft copolymer and a method for preparing the same, and more precisely a graft copolymer prepared by the steps of preparing a living activator with a single monomer and a block copolymer of a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon or a conjugated diene hydrocarbon; and then grafting the prepared living activator to polyolefin polymer, and a method for preparing the same. According to the method of the present invention, the individual vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon or conjugated diene hydrocarbon polymers, and a block copolymer thereof, can be grafted onto chlorinated polyolefin polymer as a branch by using a living activator, and the resultant graft copolymer can be widely applied to various high molecular additives, compatabilizers, waterproof sheets and asphalt, etc.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an asphalt composition comprising a linear diblock copolymer. Particularly, an asphalt composition comprising a linear diblock copolymer consisting of a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon/conjugated diene has superior dispersion, elongation and a high softening point, and an asphalt composition to which a small amount of sulfur compound is further added has more improved dispersion and thus elongation and softening temperature can be improved more effectively.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a linear block copolymer and a process for preparing the same, particularly to a linear block copolymer and a process for preparing the same which can improve transmissivity of a block copolymer and remarkably lower a Haze value by introducing a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon to conduct primary polymerization, simultaneously introducing a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon and a conjugated diene monomer therein to conduct secondary polymerization, and introducing a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon therein to conduct tertiary polymerization, thereby locating a conjugated diene/vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon copolymer block in a block copolymer.
