摘要： A system, device, and method for a broad-band array antenna are presented. More particularly, the application relates to a broad-band fragmented aperture phased array antenna for the Ka, K, and/or Ku frequency bands. In various exemplary embodiments, the antenna system may support dynamic polarization degradation correction. In one exemplary embodiment a method and system for a broad-band fragmented aperture phased array antenna for the Ka, K, and/or Ku frequency band is presented. In one exemplary embodiment, the fragmented aperture design functions in one or more of the Ku-band, K-band, and/or Ka-band. In another exemplary embodiment, the antenna system may include full electronic polarization agility. In one exemplary embodiment, the antenna system may further comprise a printed circuit board radiating element. The printed circuit board radiating element may be configured to function as an antenna. In one exemplary embodiment, the antenna system may support operation over multiple frequency bands.

摘要： A connecting system can couple two waveguides to one another, wherein each of the waveguides comprises a flange or a protruding rim. When the waveguides are connected together, the flanges can face one another in an adjoining arrangement. The connecting system can comprise two members, each having a groove, recess, or slot that receives a circumferential area of the adjoining flanges. The two members can be disposed on opposite lateral sides of the waveguides with each groove embracing a peripheral area of the adjoining flanges. A fastener or another apparatus can bring the two members towards one another, thereby causing the flanges to move deeper into the grooves. That is, the two members can clamp around opposing sides of the flanges. In response to the flanges moving deeper into the grooves, the sidewalls of the grooves can compress the flanges together to attach the waveguides to one another.

摘要： A compact system can use modular components to enhance the isolation or quality of signals that an antenna array produces. The system can comprise an array of input coupler modules and an array of output coupler modules respectively on the input and output sides of a signal routing device. Each input coupler module can receive a signal from a specific element in the antenna array and can divide or split that received signal into a multiple signal components, such as seven. The signal routing device can route each of those signal components to a different output coupler module in the array of output coupler modules. Thus, each output coupler module can receive and combine multiple signal components, such as seven, from different input coupler modules. The signal routing device can include a readily manufacturable phase trimming section to compensate for phase mismatches.

The plurality of unit cells individually comprise a driven radiating element layer, a module layer having a printed circuit board, wherein the module layer comprises one or more of a time delay module, a radio frequency distribution module, a radio frequency module, or a digital signal processor. Furthermore the aperture tile is coupled to a cold plate configured for heat transfer.

The pattern can be provided during the manufacture of the object and is formed in a part or on a surface of the object, By way of example, the pattern can be a two-dimensional black/white pattern, an N-dimensional color or gray scale pattern, a one-dimensional emission spectrum with peaks of variable heights or a two-dimensional excitation spectrum with peaks of variable height. At least one section of the pattern is identified, for example, by a photographed imagine of the pattern. The so-identified section is then electronically saved and labeled as a representative of the pattern. The object is then capable of automated recognition by matching the pattern with the previously saved representative section of the identified pattern, Also disclosed is a device configured to translate the identified pattern into an electronic code and then recognize the object by the saved code.
