Abstract: A method and apparatus for attesting the configuration of a computing platform to a verifier. A signature key (SK) is bound to the platform and bound to a defined configuration of the platform. A credential (C(SK), CDAA(SK)) for the signature key (SK) is obtained from an evaluator. This credential (C(SK), CDAA(SK)) certifies that the signature key (SK) is bound to an unspecified trusted platform configuration. The platform can then demonstrate to the verifier the ability to sign a challenge from the verifier using the signature key (SK), and demonstrate possession of the credential (C(SK), CDAA(SK)) to the verifier, thereby attesting that the platform has a trusted configuration without disclosing the platform configuration to the verifier.

Abstract: A method and system to evaluate process objects for acceptability for use. New metrics that measure both object components and their relationships are used. The method selects metrics for the process objects that measure both the components and their relationships, compares measurements of the selected metrics with corresponding metric norms, and, based on the comparison, determines whether the process objects are acceptable. The system includes a memory to store metrics and process objects and a processor to select applicable metrics for the process objects, calculate the measurements of the selected metrics, compare the measurements to corresponding metric norms, and, based on the comparison, determine whether the process objects are acceptable.

Abstract: A process for quiescing a master and a plurality of subordinate computer systems in a cluster. An original or a pending state may be entered that is a quiesce or an online state. The master instructs the subordinates the quiesce or online state be made the pending state. The subordinates prepare to change accordingly, determine whether successful, and vote to commit or abort. Based on whether all voted to commit, the master instructs the subordinates to either commit or abort. If to commit and the pending state is the quiesce state, an operation is performed in the subordinates. If to commit and the pending state is the online state, the subordinates prepare to resume the original state. The subordinates change from the original to the pending state. Otherwise, if to abort, the subordinates prepare to remain in the original state and reset the pending to the original state.

Abstract: Flexible systems and methods are described that permit a development object to be tracked and moved through a development life cycle without the need to change hard-coded rules embedded in the development objects and tools themselves. An abstraction layer may be created that includes a status-action schema. The status-action schema may include action rules. Given the development status of a development object, an appropriate rule may be selected. The action rule may be applied to the development object to move the object to the next stage of the development life cycle. This may occur for more than one development objects and their associated development status(es). A configuration interface may be provided to aid in creating and updating the status-action schema.

Abstract: A method and system for graphical analysis to detect anomalies in process objects. The method generates a graph to represent a set of process objects, applies a clustering algorithm to cluster like nodes of the graph, compares the clusters to the process objects, and, if the objects match the clusters, accepts the objects for further review or for use in applications. If one or more of the objects do not match the clusters, such suggests that there are anomalies in the process objects requiring correction. An example implementation may be to detect anomalies in the design of the process objects.

Abstract: A dual airflow control system for an environment having a first air zone and a second air zone. The system includes a first input device operable to generate a first input signal indicative of a desired airflow to the first zone and a second input device operable to generate a second input signal indicative of a desired airflow to the second zone. First and second flow regulators are configured to regulate airflow to the first and second zones, respectively, such that the first and second regulators selectively provide the airflow to each of the first and second zones based on the first and second input signals. A single actuator is associated with the first and second flow regulators. The actuator is operable to simultaneously actuate the first and second flow regulators based on an input from the first and second input devices to allow the desired airflows to the first and the second zones.

Abstract: A paper machine forming screen has a paper side and a machine side. A plurality of synthetic longitudinally extending machine direction threads are provided. A plurality of synthetic cross threads extend generally transverse to the machine direction threads, and the cross threads are disposed in first and second groups and at least of the cross threads have a flattened cross section. The first group threads are disposed in a plane of the paper side and have a repeat floating over a number of the machine direction threads. The second group threads form a plane on the machine side. The flattened cross threads extend parallel to the paper side plane, a distance from about 1.2 to about 2.2 times the distance by which the flattened cross threads extend transverse to the paper side plane.
