摘要: Articles that are cast from a particular titanium alloy can achieve a relatively high fatigue strength. The titanium alloy is an (α+β) titanium alloy that has a nominal composition of about 5.5 to about 6.63 mass percent aluminum, about 3.5 to about 4.5 mass percent vanadium, about 1.0 to about 2.5 mass percent chromium, maximum of 0.50 mass percent iron, about 0.15 to about 0.25 mass percent oxygen, about 0.06 to about 0.12 mass percent silicon, and at least 80 mass percent titanium or the balance titanium (Ti) with the exception of some allowable impurities. In one exemplary application, this titanium alloy may be used to cast a turbocharger compressor wheel.

摘要: Combustible packages for containing a fuel source and a fire started are provided. A combustible package may include a cardboard outer wall and top and bottom lids for substantially closing top and bottom openings defined by the outer wall. Each lid may define a central panel for extending across an opening and a plurality of tabs for facilitating a press fit between the lids and the outer wall. Each lid may also define a central opening for receiving an end of a fire starter. The fire starter may be wound paper tube impregnated with an accelerant. The fuel source may be a plurality of charcoal briquettes contained between the outer wall, the top and bottom lids and the fire starter. The outer wall may define one or more ventilation openings between the bottom edge and the bottom lid. Or the bottom edge may be scalloped to provide ventilation openings.

摘要: The device consists of a shaft with a detachable brush tip. The brush tip is a new design incorporating the utility of an expandable self adjusting area that yields a complete sample of the endocervix and exocervix regardless of varying individual anatomy. The head will have protrusions disposed at strategic positions with flat surface collection areas. A ledge with protrusions will sample the exocervical area and a middle portion will sample the endocervical area. The brush tip is matched to a special collection container that permits the brush tip to be detached and deposited into said container without the handling of the brush/head area. In this fashion and utility the sampled cellular material can be completely, safely, and securely transported for laboratory evaluation.

摘要: An air boost device such as a turbocharger, wherein the compressor wheel thereof is re-designed to permit die inserts (20), which occupy the air passage and define the blades (4, 5) during a process of forming a wax pattern (21) of a compressor wheel, to be pulled without being impeded by the blades. This modified blade design enables the automated production of wax patterns (21) using simplified tooling. The compressor wheel improves low cycle fatigue, withstands high temperatures and temperature changes, and permits operation at high boost pressure ratio while, on the other hand, having low weight, low inertial drag, and high responsiveness.

摘要: There is provided a protective case for a plastic data card. This protective case includes a non-transparent housing having a first planar surface and a second planar surface both having a desired length and a desired height. The first planar surface and the second planar surface are joined together at a first end with a slit separating the first planar surface from the second planar surface. This slit extends inward from an opposing second end of said transparent housing. The slit terminates proximate the first end at a distance from the first end which is effective to position desired data on the plastic data card at an effective distance from the first end. A transparent window is formed in the first planar side and is effective to expose the desired data. The height of the second planar surface is effective to expose a magnetic stripe on the plastic data card.

摘要: Disclosed are systems and methods for reserve allocation of event data. A request event is received. The request event is associated with memory storing request event data. Memory for response event data is allocated from a first pool. The response event data is associated with a response, and the response is associated with the request. Upon failure of the allocation of memory for the response event data, memory is obtained for out-of-memory response event data. The out-of-memory response event data is associated with the response event. The request event is completed using the response event.
