摘要： A displacement syringe having a housing with a distal tip and a proximal end; a moveable outer plunger within the housing having an elongated passageway; at least one moveable inner plunger within the passageway of the outer plunger; at least one first seal between the outer plunger and the housing; and at least one second seal between the inner plunger and the outer plunger is disclosed herein. The syringe may have a lock at the proximal end of the housing and/or a valve at the distal tip of the housing. The syringe may also have a plurality of inner plungers of various diameters. A transfer system and delivery system are also disclosed herein. Methods to accurately and efficiently deliver small volumes using the displacement syringe are also disclosed.

摘要： An adapter for releasably attaching a syringe to an injector includes a first section and a second section connected about a hinge axis that is generally perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the adapter. The first section and the second section are rotatable about the hinge axis between an open position to allow loading of the syringe into the adapter from a position to the rear of the hinge axis and a closed position to retain the syringe therein. The hinge axis is preferably off-center from the longitudinal axis of the adapter and the adapter further includes a releasable mounting mechanism positioned on a rearward end of the adapter to mount the adapter in a desired position relative to the front wall of the injector.

摘要： An elastomeric strip of substantially U-shaped cross-section is disclosed which is adapted to be mounted on a flange having longitudinally-spaced curved sections. The elastomeric strip includes a support frame having longitudinally displaceable frame portions that are reinforced with longitudinally extending degradable reinforcing material. The reinforced support frame is advanced through an extrusion die where a coating of an elastomeric material is extruded on the support frame to form an elastomeric strip without degrading the degradable material. Longitudinally-spaced regions of the degradable reinforcing material corresponding to the longitudinally-spaced curved sections of the flange are then degraded, allowing the elastomeric strip to more faithfully follow the curved sections of the flange when the strip is mounted thereon.

摘要： An adapter includes a syringe carrier adapted to seat at least a portion of the syringe. The syringe carrier includes at least one rearward facing abutment member to abut at least one forward facing surface on a syringe. The syringe carrier includes an opening therein to allow a drive member of an injector to communicate forward force to the plunger through abutment without connective engagement between the drive member and the plunger. The adapter further includes a releasable mounting mechanism positioned to the rear of the syringe carrier to mount the adapter in a desired position relative to the front wall of the injector.

摘要： An elastomeric strip of substantially U-shaped cross-section is disclosed which is adapted to be mounted on a flange having longitudinally-spaced curved sections.
