    摘要: A continuous ink supply (CIS) apparatus, a CIS printer system and a method of CIS employ a one-way valve having a minimum negative activation pressure. The apparatus includes an off-axis ink supply to source liquid ink to a printhead of a printer. The one-way valve is positioned between the off-axis ink supply and the printhead. The minimum negative activation pressure at a printhead side of the one-way valve is at least enough to substantially precludes drooling from the printhead.

    摘要: In one embodiment, a fluid flow channel includes a first part and a second part connected to and positioned downstream from the first part such that fluid can flow from the first part to the second part. The first part has opposing sidewalls, a floor extending between the sidewalls, and a ceiling extending between the sidewalls. The ceiling of the first part slopes upward in an upstream direction or the sidewalls taper in toward one another in a downstream direction, or both. The second part has opposing sidewalls and a ceiling extending between the sidewalls. The ceiling of the second part slopes upward in an upstream direction.

The vent has a vent hole passing through the cover and an elongated vent path that communicatively couples the vent hole to an atmosphere surrounding an exterior of the ink reservoir. An oleophobically treated, porous membrane is disposed over the vent hole for acting to repel ink therefrom and for allowing airflow through the porous membrane and the vent.

    摘要: An apparatus for use in a fluid delivery system includes a housing configurable to separate a first volume of gas from a second volume of gas and an interface arranged within the housing. The interface includes a bubbler member that is fluidically wetted with a fluid via capillary action. The interface is configured to allow a gas from the first volume of gas to pass through the fluid into the second volume of gas when a pressure difference between the first and second volumes of gas reaches a first threshold level. The interface is also configured to allow a gas from the second volume of gas to pass through the fluid into the first volume of gas when the pressure difference between the first and second volumes of gas reaches a second threshold level.
