A commutation assembly mechanically commutates an electric motor. It includes a plurality of distinct electrical contacts forming a circular surface around a motor shaft. At least some of the electrical contacts are electrically coupled to distinct coils within the motor. The assembly further includes a conductive flexible ring and an arm with two rollers. The conductive flexible ring has a circumference that is less than the circumference of the circular surface. In use, the arm is rigidly attached to the motor shaft and has a roller disposed at a distal end for forcing an electrical connection between the flexible ring and specific electrical contacts during rotation of the arm. The electrical connection causes at least one of the distinct coils to be selectively energized.

In one aspect, the exercise platform can include an exercise platform base adapted to interface with a supporting surface and an exercise platform upper surface coupled to the exercise platform base that includes a first step having a first step surface, a second step having a second step surface, and a center landing area located between the first step and the second step, the center landing area being substantially parallel to the exercise platform base, wherein the first step surface and the second step surface are angled toward the center landing area by an angle between 5 and 30 degrees, inclusive. Further, the first step surface and the second step surface can be angled by a second angle between 5 and 30 degrees toward a transverse axis laterally bisecting the exercise platform base.

An apparatus and method for storing, cooling, and releasing items, such as canned beverages, is disclosed. A key object of the invention disclosed is to provide a cooler having a smaller footprint and greater height relative to existing solutions. To this end, an apparatus configured according to the present disclosure utilizes one or more thermoelectric cooling elements to lower the temperature of a container, in combination with an air channel arranged along an axis parallel with the container's height. Further, due to the novel dimensions that the apparatus may exhibit, a means for serially releasing items from the container is disclosed, including a retainer assembly and release mechanism disposed within the device's head and a force mechanism disposed within the container's interior.
Abstract:
An improved step exercise platform is presented, that can be used to address specific muscle groups in the legs. The muscle groups can be exercised with a proper angle taken by the foot, which is held at said angle by means of angled steps on the front, back, and sides of the invention.Certain muscle conditions such as Piriformis Syndrome can be treated in physical therapy by means of this invention, and certain training goals can be reached as well.
