    摘要: A self-propelled underwater transport vehicle provides propulsion for one or more divers to allow submerged travel over extended distances. The vehicle has a cylindrical open hull supporting a deck upon which a diver is supported in a prone position. A blunt bow extends upwardly from the front of the hull, and develops a flow shadow in which the diver is positioned. A control yoke, operable by the diver, is connected to steering elements, which may include bow planes and a pivoting thruster. The cylindrical hull allows the vehicle to closely approach objects without contact therewith, while the flow shadow developed by the bow minimizes drag, despite the open structure of the vehicle.

    摘要: A trolley is provided and includes at least one driven wheel and non-driven wheels. The at least one drive wheel may be moved to a position clear of the ground or to a position in which it contacts the ground with the adjacent non-driven wheels being raised off the ground. Movement between these two positions is effected by pivoting a sub-frame to which the driven wheel and the non-driven wheels are connected. During this movement, the region of the trolley above the driven wheel is first lowered and then raised slightly such that the end elevation of the support for a patient remains the same.

    摘要: An improved cold storage refrigeration system and method is presented. A first heat exchanger located in a cold storage unit is connected by means of a series of vertical pipes to a second heat exchanger located below the first heat exchanger within a refrigerated space, forming an integrated tube assembly. To charge the cold storage unit, the tube assembly is operated as the evaporator of a conventional refrigeration circuit. During non-powered cooling, a portion of refrigerant is sealed within the tube assembly. The refrigerant vaporizes in the second heat exchanger and condenses in the first heat exchanger, thereby transferring heat from the refrigerated space to the cold storage unit. Defrosting of the second heat exchanger is accomplished by removing refrigerant from the second heat exchanger and circulating air above 0 degrees centrigrade around it.

    摘要: An improved cold storage refrigeration system and method is presented.
