    摘要: In various embodiments, a closure may include a base attachable to a container. The closure may further include an engagement insert receivable in the base. The engagement insert may include screw thread formations for engaging corresponding formations on a container neck. The base and insert may together form a co-operating uni-directional rotation arrangement which prevents rotation in a direction of screwing onto a container neck but allows relative rotation in a direction of unscrewing, whereby to prevent unscrewing of the closure. In various embodiments, a closure for a container may include a top deck, an outer skirt and an inner skirt. The inner skirt may be engagable with a container neck. The inner skirt and/or top deck may comprise one or more regions of weakness arranged to break and/or deform if an attempt is made to remove the closure from a neck following first application, whereby to prevent re-application.

    摘要: There are various ways to latch a closure onto a container. It has been found that for blowmolded containers that the support flange for the bottle preform can later be used as a part of the latch mechanism to secure a closure onto the container. Preforms have a support flange by which the preform is handled prior to being placed into the mold and in the mold. Prior to being placed in the mole, the preform is heated to about 85° C. to about 200° C. During this time and in the mold, it will be supported by the support flange. This support flange is used after the container is blown and filled as one part of the latching mechanism of the closure. The closure will have a portion that is an interference fit with the support flange of the bottle to thereby secure the closure to the bottle.

    摘要: A portion dispensing container assembly includes a container that has an externally threaded finish portion and a closure main body that is mounted to the finish portion. The closure main body has a storage space defined therein in which a concentrate may be stored. A plunger member is mounted for linear movement within the closure main body between a first upper position and a second lower position. In the second, lower position the plunger member causes the storage space two open into communication with the interior of the container. A tamper evident interlock is further provided to prevent movement of the plunger member to the second, lower position until a consumer removes the tamper evident interlock.

    摘要: A closure for a container includes a main body portion that is constructed and arranged to be secured to a container and that has dispensing orifice defined therein for dispensing a liquid. The closure further includes a first lid portion that is hingedly mounted to the main body portion and is movable between a first, open position wherein material may be dispensed from the container through the dispensing orifice and a second, closed position wherein the dispensing orifice is blocked. A second lid portion overlies the first lid portion and is mounted for rotation with respect to the first lid portion. The second lid portion is rotatable between an unlocked position and a locked position wherein it engages the main body portion to prevent movement of the first lid portion away from the second, closed position. Pedestal bearing structure is advantageously mounted to one of the first and second lid portions that has a bearing surface that is positioned to engage the other of the first and second lid portions for reducing rotational friction between the first lid portion and the second lid portion.

    摘要: A screw on plastic dispensing closure for a container includes a closure main body that is adapted to be screwed on to a container and that has a top portion in which an orifice is defined for dispensing a substance from the container and a downwardly depending skirt portion having an inner surface on which at least one interior thread is defined for engaging threading on the container. The closure further includes a lid member that is hingedly mounted to the closure main body for movement between a first closed position in which the lid member covers the orifice and an open position wherein the orifice is uncovered by the lid member. Advantageously, retention structure is provided on the closure main body for engaging the container in such a manner as to frustrate efforts that may be made to unscrew the closure from the container after the closure has been first screwed on to the container.
