Abstract:
A mechanism for displaying the moon phases which has an upper disc or moon dial (1) and a lower disc or moon indicator (2) that is mounted concentrically to it. One of these discs is mounted rotatably relative to the other. The moon dial (1) has two windows (1a, 1b) in order to account in the display for the different appearance of the moon phases in the northern and southern hemisphere of the earth.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a case for screening magnetic fields, comprising at least two parts, and more particularly a lower part (4, 5) and a bell-shaped upper part (3). These parts are of a shape such that they are able to envelop a movement (1) of a timepiece. The upper part (3), moreover, is attached in such a way that while attached to the movement, it is able to move in a plane parallel to the movement (1) while it is essentially immobile in a direction normal to this plane.
Abstract:
A time display device has at least one linear scale subdivided into at least two parallel scale sections arranged side by side. The divisions of the sections are plotted in opposite directions. The device includes guiding elements running between these scale sections, and at least one member attached to the guiding elements and movable along the linear scale sections. This member also has driving elements moving it, and display elements attached to the member for displaying time on the scale sections. The display elements are attached to the member such that each time when reaching the end of a linear scale section, they will turn from one scale section to the other. The turning occurs at least partially in a jumping and instantaneous manner. As an alternative to this feature, the turning may also occur by a linear motion of the display elements.
Abstract:
A watch with an analog time display has at least one minute hand and one hour hand. This watch is moreover equipped with a fly back hand mechanism which has at least one minute fly back hand and/or hour fly back hand located coaxially to the hands of the normal time display. In the normal mode, the fly back hand or hands is/are moved synchronously with the hands of the normal time display and relative to them in an overlapping position. They can be stopped in a timer mode for marking of any instant of time and after expiry of any time interval, for again synchronously running with the hands of the normal time display. The actuated coupling of the fly back hand mechanism is located preferably non-coaxially to the axis of the motion work of the watch.
Abstract:
A drive wheel for integration into a clock movement, in particular into the clock movement of wristwatches, with at least a dented section by whose teeth a downstream wheel is rotatably drivable and at least a non-dented section which has a diameter chosen in such a manner that the part-circular circumference of the drive wheel in the non-dented section blocks the downstream wheel against rotation while the teeth of the downstream wheel face this section. The non-dented section of the drive wheel includes at least a flexible element that is arranged, seen in the direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the drive wheel, immediately after the dented section and that includes an elasticity essentially directed in radial direction of the drive wheel for the change of the diameter of the non-dented section of the drive wheel in the range of the flexible element.
Abstract:
A control mechanism adapted to be incorporated into a watch with a main setting device, which comprises at least two engagement positions, namely one rest position and at least one pulled position, and with at least one auxiliary setting device. The invention is also concerned with all types of watches suitable for the integration of such a control mechanism and comprising the mechanism, in particular a world time watch with an analogue indication of the time of the day and of a corresponding location for different time zones with an offset relative to the local time by a multiple of an hour or of half an hour, which thus allows a simultaneous and reliable reading of the time of the day for the indicated time zones and which, in particular, avoids inadvertent modification of the settings of the watch.
Abstract:
A lunar phase display mechanism includes an upper disc which is the lunar display disc and a lower disc mounted concentrically to this disc. One of the discs is mounted so that during normal operation of the mechanism that one disc rotates relative to the other disc, and the other disc is mounted in a stationary position during normal operation of the mechanism while this position can be changed by a rotary motion. The gear train driving the rotating disc allows that the direction of rotation of this disc can be reversed so that the different appearance of the lunar phases at the latitudes of the earth and, in particular, in the northern and southern hemisphere can be taken into account in the display.
Abstract:
A device for the date indication in a watch, with a digit disk and a decimal disk, which each include a sequence of figures or numbers and are arranged next to each other in parallel in such a manner that they overlap within the region of an indicating position and thus allow to represent a two digit number visible through a corresponding date window in the dial. The disk of larger diameter is a circular disk and the axis of rotation of the disk of smaller diameter is arranged within the outer peripheral contour of the disk of larger diameter. The device includes a digit programme wheel and a decimal programme wheel, which control via a digit pinion and a decimal pinion the switching operation of the digit disk and the decimal disk, and a programme drive wheel, which passes on the driving force onto the digit and decimal programme wheels.
Abstract:
The present invention refers to a lunar phase display mechanism including an upper disc which is the lunar display disc and a lower disc mounted concentrically to this disc which is the lunar disc. One of the discs is mounted in such a way that during normal operation of the mechanism it rotates relative to the other disc. This other disc is mounted in such a way that it is in a stationary position during normal operation of the mechanism while this position can be changed by a rotary motion. Alternatively, the gear train driving the rotating disc can be so designed that the direction of rotation of this disc can be reversed. In this way the different appearance of the lunar phases at the latitudes of the earth and in particular in the northern and southern hemisphere can be taken into account in the display.
