    摘要: A pivot system for use with a stowage bin system in a mobile platform (for example, a commercial aircraft) is provided, where the pivot system enables electrical communication between structure pivotally supporting the bin, and electrical components on the bin. The pivot system includes a pivot boss including an engagement extension and a race assembly including a socket. The socket of the race assembly is for receipt of the engagement extension to couple the pivot boss to the race assembly. The pivot system further includes at least one conductor coupled to at least one of the pivot boss and race assembly to enable electrical communication between the pivot base and the race assembly. The system, thus, enables electrical communication between the pivot boss and the race assembly without requiring external wiring.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for detecting wireless local area network (WLAN) signals scans an area for radio-wave signals that meet IEEE802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g standards, and converts any detected radio-wave signal into a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) data, which is stored, recorded, and compared by a control unit with WLAN properties to determine whether there is a WLAN set up in the scanned area, or bearings and strength of any detected WLAN signal, making the detection highly discriminating and sensitive.

    摘要: A two-in-one wireless control kit is adapted to plug in a PCMCIA slot on a portable apparatus for storing and moving along with the portable apparatus and use at any time, and includes a transmitter and a receiver removably associated with each other to form one unit. The transmitter is provided at an upper side with related keys and at a lower side with at least a battery compartment for accommodating required batteries and a locating recess for receiving the receiver therein. The receiver includes a front connecting end for connecting to a related connecting port on the portable apparatus, and locating structures located at predetermined positions to removably engage the receiver with the locating recess below the transmitter, such that the associated transmitter and receiver can be plugged in the PCMCIA slot without projecting any part from the slot.

    摘要: A shower system includes a shower area defined by a shower stall or primary wall having at least one misting nozzle coupled thereto. The primary wall is enclosed by a shower stall housing or a secondary wall, whereby an air channel is defined between the shower stall and the shower stall housing. A controller directs misted air through the misting nozzle and further activates an air flow system such that misted air within the shower area flows through and is dried in the air channel.
