    摘要: A ball and socket joint has a sealing bellows (4) that is in contact with the surface (17) of the ball pivot (3) by means of a circumferential closing collar (11) in the shaft area (7) of the ball pivot (3). The ball and socket joint has an element (14), which is elastic in the axial direction of the pivot and may be designed as a compression spring element, arranged in the neck area (8) of the ball pivot (3). The compression spring element is supported with one end in the area of the transition between the neck area (8) and the ball (9) of the ball pivot (3) and with the other end indirectly or directly at the pivot-side closing collar (11) of the sealing bellows (4). The sealing bellows is permanently and reliably prevented from slipping off from the neck of the ball pivot even under extreme climatic conditions or in case of extraordinary mechanical stresses, for example, in case of exposure to the water jet of a high-pressure cleaner. In addition, the pivot-side seal of the sealing bellows as well as the control of the seal in terms of design and the dimensionability of the seal are improved.

    摘要: A twist beam axle for a wheel suspension of a motor vehicle. The twist beam axle has two trailing arms and a torsional profile having prismatic-shaped end sections with a noncircular cross-section. One trailing arm is connected to one torsional profile end section in each case. The trailing arms have a receiving recess having a shape corresponding to that of the outer surface of the torsional profile end section. An inwardly pressed plug is disposed in the interior of each torsional profile end section. The twist beam axle ensures permanent transfers high bending moments and torques between the trailing arms and the torsional profile without a welded joint. Different classes of materials can be used for the torsional profile and trailing arms, or can be connected to one another. The twist beam axle generally makes it possible to use large-volume, thin-walled and, therefore, weight-saving torsional profiles.

    摘要: A ball joint with a ball pin and a steel ball pin with a joint ball. The ball joint and ball pin are suitable for use when, for example, solid-on-solid friction predominates under high static pre-loading or high operational loads and with small joint movements. A portion of the surface of the ball pin has surface layer hardening in order to increase a fatigue strength of the ball pin. The ball pin and the ball joint, on portion of the ball pin without the any surface layer hardened, includes a nitrided layer as wear protection. The ball pin and the ball joint provide an advantageous combination of high fatigue strength, good corrosion protection and high wear-resistance. The nitrided layer of ball joints, previously only regarded as improving corrosion protection, also functions as a wear protection. Thus, these ball pins overcome the mutual exclusion between surface layer hardening and nitriding.

    摘要: A process is provided for manufacturing balls, especially for ball and socket joints, as well as to a ball element for two-part ball pivots. The microalloyed carbon-manganese steel balls are manufactured by cold extrusion and subsequent grinding. Annealing can thus be completely eliminated, as a result of which a less expensive material can be used. The process makes possible a manufacture of balls especially for two-part ball pivots in a simpler manner and at a lower cost, and the surface finish and the material quality as well as the strength and the wear resistance are at the same time preserved or increased. As a result, the effort needed to manufacture the balls is reduced, and, moreover, the problem of the impact marks often developing on the ball surfaces during tempering is eliminated.
