Abstract: An oral composition dentifrice containing an orally acceptable vehicle, about 30-75% by weight of a dentally acceptable water-insoluble polishing agent, a substantially water-insoluble noncationic antibacterial antiplaque agent, such as 2,4,4'-trichloro-2'-hydroxy-diphenyl ether (triclosan) an antibacterial enhancing agent which enhances the delivery of said antibacterial agent to, and retention thereof on, oral surfaces, and a surface active agent and/or a flavoring oil.
