Abstract:
User-friendly welding helmet assembly configurations to be worn on the head of a welder are disclosed. The welding helmet assembly configurations include various advanced features including a spatter shield that is easily replaceable from an external front portion of a shell of the helmet assembly configuration, and an adjustable ratchet headgear within the shell having a repositionable lever adapted to easily adjust a detent position of the ratchet headgear with respect to the shell. Other user-friendly features are also provided, in accordance with various embodiments of the present invention.
Abstract:
An aromatic odor neutralizer includes a dispenser housing with an internal passage between end walls and communicating with vents in the sides for aerodynamic airflow to efficiently absorb vapors from a vaporizer chamber within the dispenser housing. The vaporization chamber contains a wick with an end part immersed in fluid in a storage cup that is gravity fed from an air tight vessel by the use of air pathways exposed when the liquid level in the cup is reduced.
Abstract:
The invention includes pliers with self-adjustment capability for applying an initial grasping force to a workpiece and for augmenting the initial grasping force applied to the workpiece. The pliers are structured such that angular displacement of a handle portion of a first plier member is smaller than angular displacement of a jaw portion of the first plier member during an initial movement of the handle portions toward each other for applying the initial grasping force to the workpiece. In addition, the pliers are structured such that angular displacement of the handle portion of the first plier member is larger than angular displacement of the jaw portion of the first plier member to permit augmenting of the initial grasping force applied to the workpiece during a continued movement of the handle portions toward each other.
Abstract:
Inventory monitoring apparatus capable of real-time counting of objects added to or subtracted from a location whose inventory is to be monitored. The apparatus includes structure for supporting a plurality of objects and a lever adapted to be contacted and displaced by movement of the objects to and from the supporting structure. Movement of the lever in one direction triggers a switch which generates a signal indicating that an object is being added to the support structure. Similarly, opposite movement of the lever triggers another switch which generates a signal indicating that an object is being removed from the support structure. A microprocessor receives and counts the signals generated by the switches to provide a real-time total of the quantity of objects borne by the supporting structure.

Abstract:
A thermal imaging camera having improved durability and ergonomic features including generally a seamless housing encompassing a thermal imaging core, a first handle, and a battery compartment. The housing is preferably positioned at a first end of the first handle and the battery compartment is positioned at the opposite end of the first handle. By positioning the first handle intermediate between the housing and the battery compartment, the center of gravity of the thermal imaging camera coincides generally with the handle when the thermal imaging camera is in use, that is when batteries are present within the battery compartment. The camera can also include a second handle positioned between the housing and the battery compartment, the second handle is preferably oriented generally parallel to and spaced apart from the first handle to facilitate passing of the thermal imaging camera between users. The camera also has improved water resistance, shock-resistance and other operational features.
Abstract:
A gas outlet apparatus (10) is configured to provide a medical gas outlet for a gas supply line (62). The apparatus (10) includes a front cover (12) formed to include a gas outlet opening (14), a back plate (24) coupled to the front cover (12), and a gas outlet barrel (30) having an inlet end, an outlet end (80), and a valve located between the inlet end and the outlet end (80). The apparatus (10) also includes a retention portion located on the back plate (24). The retention portion is configured to engage the barrel (30) adjacent the outlet end (80) to secure the barrel (30) to the back plate (24) and the cover (12) and with the outlet end (80) of the barrel (30) in alignment with the gas outlet opening (14) formed in the front cover (12).
