    摘要: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for imaging the head area of a patient by taking both cephalometric X-ray and photographic images of desired objects to be imaged. The method is conducted by using a mechanism (1) applicable to cephalometric X-ray imaging, which comprises an X-ray source (5) in front of an object, an X-ray receiving element behind the object, and patient positioning implements (8-10). The apparatus is further fitted with photographic instruments (13) for taking photographs from an object to be imaged. In the method, a patient is placed by means of the patient positioning implements (8-10) in a desired imaging position and imaged in the same imaging position in both modes of imaging.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method and system for determining a sharp panoramic image constructed from a group of projection images, especially the invention relates to defining a structure of the panoramic X-ray image of an area of a dentition and of jaws. The structure of a panoramic image to be generated from a group of projection images is determined by at least two crucial parameters, namely parameters of the central surface S of the sharp layer and thickness t(s) of the sharp layer, using penalty function F(S,t), which is at least a penalty function F3(S,t) of low-frequency changes in the computed panoramic image corresponding to the choices S and t(S). After computing F3(S,t) the best center surface and thickness function (in other words the sharpest layer of the panoramic image) is obtained by minimizing said penalty function F(S,t) over parameter space.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method and system for determining a sharp panoramic image constructed from a group of projection images, especially the invention relates to defining a structure of the panoramic X-ray image of an area of a dentition and of jaws. The structure of a panoramic image to be generated from a group of projection images is determined by at least two crucial parameters, namely parameters of the central surface S of the sharp layer and thickness t(s) of the sharp layer, using penalty function F(S,t), which is at least a penalty function F3(S,t) of low-frequency changes in the computed panoramic image corresponding to the choices S and t(S).     摘要: The invention relates to a medical X-ray imaging apparatus comprising a frame part, an X-ray source for producing X-rays, radiation receiving means for detecting radiation transmitted through an object, and support means for supporting the X-ray source and the receiving means in positions on opposite sides of the object. The support means are connected to the frame part so as to rotate around the axis of rotation provided with actuator means for rotating the said support means around the said axis of rotation. The apparatus makes possible both panoramic imaging and CT imaging, as selected by the operator. The X-ray apparatus comprises means for adjusting the ratio of enlargement so as to be optimal for each method of imaging used respectively.
