The installation includes a robotic system (1) suitable for performing the rolling mill roll changing operations. A gripping tool change magazine (MAG) includes a first grasping tool configured for inserting and extracting a work roll, a second grasping tool configured for inserting and extracting first intermediate rolls, a third grasping tool is configured for inserting and extracting second intermediate rolls, and a fourth grasping tool is configured for inserting and extracting sets of rollers.

Abstract:
A shearing device for fragmenting a metal strip includes two counter-rotating drums facing one another, a drive device connecting the drums and synchronising their rotation speed, and at least one pair of drum-supported blades. The blades engage by shearing effect during drum rotation to cut the waste. The blades of the pair have, from the cutting edge thereof, planar surfaces, referred to as overlapping surfaces, overlapping and facing one another during the shearing between blades, each blade being secured transversely to the drum, at an angle to the axis of rotation of the drum, so the plane through the overlapping surface of the blade forms an angle with the axis of rotation of the corresponding drum, producing gradual shearing. The overlapping surface of each blade is tilted so the plane passing through the overlapping surface does not intersect the rotational axis of the drum on its active width.

Device for filtering rolling oil, including: a tank having an inlet for the oil to be filtered, as well as a lid having at least one plate element, or a plurality of plate elements, removably stacked in the internal volume of the tank, able to be removed from the tank via the upper opening of the lid, each of the plate elements removably receiving filtration cartridges, each of the hollow plate elements constituting a collector for oil filtered by the cartridges of said plate element, each of the plate elements comprising a filtered oil outlet removably connected to a corresponding outlet of the tank via a connector. According to the invention, there are between one and three plate elements, the total number of filtration cartridges of the device is between 500 and 3000 cartridges, and is suitable to allow a nominal filtration flow of between 1000 L/min and 4000 L/min.

Disclosed is a method for changing the rolls on a rolling mill for rolling a metal strip, carried out using a Quarto rolling mill, including lower and upper working and support rolls. The installation includes a system for extracting the working rolls and the support rolls, including: an actuator pushing the rolls out of the roll stand extraction; a coupling head, secured to the actuator, situated in a position of opening of the roll stand, including: a first coupler driving the chock or the end of the lower working roll, on the rolling-mill drive side; a second coupler driving the chock of the lower support roll, on the rolling-mill drive side. The first and second coupler allow successive extractions of the working rolls and then of the support rolls from the roll stand using the actuator of the extraction system. Also disclosed is a related rolling mill installation.

Disclosed is a rolling mill including a frame, at least one pair of working cylinders capable of defining the air gap of the strip to be rolled, as well at least one line for spraying a lubricant and/or coolant fluid, arranged next to the plane of the strip to be rolled. The line is rigidly connected to the frame via a hinged mechanical link, the mechanical link including a resilient unit forcing the line into at least one operational position, toward the plane of the strip, and allowing, in the event that a force on the line tends to separate the line, greater than a threshold value, the deformation of the resilient unit against the return force thereof, and thus the retraction of the line toward a position separated from the at least one operational position.
