Abstract:
A fibrous product, especially tissue paper product, non-woven product or a hybrid thereof, includes at least one top ply with either an embossing pattern forming pillow-like chambers at least partially surrounded by first embossing protuberances or with second embossing protuberances; at least one middle ply embossed in register with the at least one top ply so that either second embossing protuberances of the at least one middle ply nest into the pillow-like chambers of the at least one top ply or second embossing protuberances of the at least one top ply nest into the pillow-like chambers at least partially surrounded by first embossing protuberances of the at least one middle ply; and at least one bottom ply not in register with the at least one top ply and being bonded to both the at least one top ply and the at least one middle ply.
Abstract:
A device for applying a spot embossing pattern to a web of multi-ply tissue paper being processed in a paper converting machine comprises a marrying roll and a spot embossing unit cooperating and being positioned against the marrying roll. The spot embossing unit comprises a spot embossing roll with a raised embossing pattern on its circumferential surface. The at least two plies of tissue web are combined with a marrying roll and pass between the marrying roll and the spot embossing unit.
Abstract:
A multi-ply web of tissue paper having at least two plies comprising a first web (2a) consisting of at least one ply and being provided with a first embossing pattern forming cushions (24) limited by regions (22) of compressed material and a second web (3a) having at least one ply and being provided with a second pattern with protrusions (32) of compressed material. The first web and the second web are combined together such that the protrusions of compressed material (32) of the second web (3a) are positioned inside the cushions (24) limited by the regions (22) of compressed material (22). Further, the invention relates to a paper converting device and a method for producing such product.
Abstract:
Method for producing a multi-ply web of flexible material, such as paper and nonwoven material, comprising at least one first and one second ply which are interconnected by gluing in a plurality of discrete glue sites. The web is printed with at least one printing pattern which is in register with the glue pattern. The multi-ply web is produced by bringing a first ply in contact with a patterned glue transfer roll, transferring glue to the first ply in a glue pattern, a second ply is brought in contact with the glue applied side of the first ply in a press nip between a patterned lamination roll and an impression roll, the glue transfer roll and the lamination roll being in register with each other and having corresponding patterns.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a hygiene product, includes the steps of providing at least a first web (1) and a second web (2), pre-treating the first web and/or the second web, embossing the first web with a décor embossing pattern in a first décor embossing zone (38) having a décor embossing roll (34), and laminating together the first web and the second web in a lamination zone (30), the lamination zone being defined between the décor embossing roll and a lamination roll (36), wherein the décor embossing roll and the lamination roll have a generally-equal surface hardness.

Abstract:
The three-dimensional puzzle consists of a plurality of transparent sheets on which code bits of information are arranged. When viewed in the correct direction, the code bits of information define a two-dimensional picture or object. When viewed from any other direction, the code bits appear as a jumbled image, and the hidden object is not apparent.

The at least one bottom ply includes non-embossed areas and embossed areas provided with a micro-embossing pattern, whereby the unembossed areas of the bottom ply are in register with the top ply and the middle ply.
Abstract:
Apparatus for embossing a multi-ply paper product, includes at least one background embossing unit, for embossing at least one ply of the multi-ply paper product and at least one decoration embossing unit for embossing the at least one ply downstream of the background embossing unit, as seen in the direction of processing, the decoration embossing unit having a decoration embossing roll and a decoration backing roll. The decoration embossing roll of the decoration embossing unit has an engraving depth larger than 1.5 mm. By this arrangement, an increased bulk of the produced multi-ply paper product can be achieved, the decoration embossing having sharp edges, which in turn leads to an improved application of dye, if dyed glue is used for laminating the plies together. To strengthen this fact, it is preferable that the decoration backing roll has a hardness larger than 60 Shore (A).
