摘要: An automated aviator recognition system and a method for recognizing an aviator in a cockpit of an aircraft are provided. The system and method allow an aviator to be recognized or identified from his/her mobile device, such as a smart phone. The automated aviator system may include a plurality of beacons configured to be located in a cockpit of an aircraft, each emitting a beacon signal, and a mobile device that communicates with the plurality of beacons, receives signal data from the plurality of beacons, sends the signal data to a system server via an Intranet or Internet connection or through a flight data collection and transmission device, the system processing the signal data to identify an aviator in possession of the mobile device and identify a location of the aviator within the cockpit as one of a captain chair or a copilot chair or another chair based on the processed signal data and providing aviator identification information to subscribed/authorized users and devices.

摘要: A reflex site having a superluminescent micro-display, dynamic reticle, and metadata overlay is provided. The reflex site may include a housing; an optical collimator lens with a dichroic coating configured to reflect one or more wavelengths of light, wherein a target is viewable by a user through the optical collimator lens; a superluminescent micro-display that projects onto the optical collimator lens a reticle image for a desired point of impact of a bullet on a target and a related metadata overlay, wherein the reticle image and the related metadata overlay are superimposed on a view of the target viewable through the optical collimator lens, such that the target, the reticle image, and the related metadata overlay are all directly visible to the user, when viewing the target through the optical collimator lens; a microprocessor that calculates a ballistic solution for the target and generates the reticle image for the desired point of impact of the bullet on the target based on the calculated ballistic solution, the microprocessor providing a signal containing the reticle image and the related metadata overlay to the superluminescent micro-display; a power system that provides power to the superluminescent micro-display and the microprocessor; a rail grabber configured to couple the reflex sight to a barrel of a weapon; and a boresighting mechanism configured to align the reflex sight with the barrel.

摘要: A method and apparatus for calibrating the scan of a laser over a planar surface that includes defining an error table having x-dimension and y-dimension correction factors, and also a scale factor, for each of a plurality of regions of the planar target surface. The scale factor is initially set to a value to account for differences in the size of the image field to be scanned and the overall scan field in the CAD data base. Adjustment is performed to each scale factor to account for theoretical differences due to the use of a perpendicular galvanometer-driven mirror scanning system. A sheet with a large number of square cells is then placed over the target surface, after rotational alignment, and the laser marks each cell. The sheet is then converted into digital form by scanning, and the location of the laser mark relative to the centroid of the cell is used to update the correction factors for that cell.

摘要: A dual memory Secure Digital (SD) card is provided which allows for remote data updates without disruption to a currently executing program, as well as a system and method that utilize the dual memory SD card. The dual memory SD card may include a primary memory, an independent secondary memory, and a microcontroller or Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) that can load either memory upon boot up of a host computer. The dual memory SD card may also include a wireless interface, such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, in addition to a standard SD pin interface. An automated data synchronization system is provided which allows a new version of data to be uploaded onto the secondary memory of the dual memory SD card while an existing data version is running on that same dual memory SD card and swapped into operation upon the next reboot of a host device.
