摘要: A solar concentrator (1) having a longitudinal axis of extension (3) and a cross-section at right angles to the longitudinal axis substantially equal for a continuum of cross-sections, and comprising a reflective system (6) and a refractive system (7), the reflective system forming an optical inlet (8) and an optical outlet (9) and comprising two semi-portions positioned specularly relative to the plane of symmetry, where the cross-section profile of the refractive system is a triangle (11) having a base (12) at the optical outlet (9) and apex (13) on the axis of symmetry (5), where the cross-section profile of each semi-portion of the reflective system comprises a segment (18) in the shape of a parabola having an axis (20) forming with the axis of symmetry an acceptance angle (θ0) greater than zero and a focus (F) on the axis of symmetry, and where the focus falls inside the triangle.

摘要: An optical device includes an interferometer having a first optical coupler, a second optical coupler and at least three arms optically coupling the first optical coupler to the second optical coupler; and a phase-shifting arrangement associated with the arms, at least one among the first and second optical couplers including a first optical input port, two first optical output ports and a second optical output port. An optical power coupling is implemented such that optical power received at the first optical input port is coupled, a first fraction into each of the first optical output ports, and a second fraction into the second optical output port. The at least one among the first and second optical couplers further includes a second optical input port and a third optical input port, and the at least one among the first and second optical couplers implements an optical power coupling such that optical power received at either one of the first or second optical input ports is coupled, the first fraction into each of the first optical output ports, and the second fraction into the second optical output port, whereas optical power received at the third optical input port is coupled, a third fraction into each of the first optical output ports, and a fourth fraction into the second optical output port, wherein the first fraction is different from the third fraction.

摘要: A wavelength converter device is provided for generating a converted radiation at frequency ωg through interaction between at least one signal radiation at frequency ωs and at least one pump radiation at frequency ωp, including an input for the at least one signal radiation at frequency ωs, a pump light source for generating the at least one pump radiation at frequency ωp, an output for taking out the converted radiation at frequency ωg, a structure for transmitting the signal radiation, including two optical resonators having a non-linear material, having an optical length of at least 40*λ/2, λ being the wavelength of the pump radiation, and resonating at the pump, signal and converted frequencies ωp, ωs and ωg, wherein by propagating through the structure, the pump and signal radiation generate the converted radiation by non-linear interaction within the optical resonators.
