    摘要: A cross-link for a track that comprises belts spaced apart to accommodate a plurality of wheels of a tracked vehicle on which the track is mounted, the belts having a ground-facing side. In one embodiment, the cross-link comprises an elongate member for mounting to the belts to interconnect the belts, the elongate member having a belt-engaging face contacting the belts on the ground-facing side when the elongate member is mounted to the belts. The elongate member defines a channel including a bottom portion and a pair of sidewalls opposite one another on either side of the bottom portion. The cross-link also comprises a sole mountable in the channel for engaging a ground surface on which the tracked vehicle travels, the sole comprising a pair of sidewall-engaging surfaces for engaging the sidewalls when the sole is mounted in the channel.

The track comprises a plurality of belts spaced apart to accommodate a plurality of wheels of the tracked vehicle, the belts having a ground-facing side for facing the ground. The cross-link comprises an elongate member for mounting to the belts to interconnect the belts. The elongate member has a belt-engaging face contacting the belts on the ground-facing side when the elongate member is mounted to the belts. The cross-link also comprises a sole mountable to the elongate member. The sole comprises a ground-engaging portion for engaging the ground. A ground contact area of the sole may be substantially different from a projected area of the elongate member onto the ground. For example, a length of the ground-engaging portion of the sole may be substantially different from a length of the elongate member.

    摘要: A rebalance loop for controlling a dry tuned rotor gyroscope having a rotor moveable about two orthogonal axes, a first pickoff associated with one of the axes for producing an electrical error signal when a rate is applied to one of the axes, a second pickoff associated with the other of the axes for producing an electrical error signal when a rate is applied to that axis and a pair of torquer coil adapted to receive electrical control signals from the rebalance loop and apply torques to the rotor about the two axes for correcting errors detected by the pickoffs. The rebalance loop comprises a first direct-axis loop which receives an error signal produced by one of the pickoffs and produces a first amplified error signal, a second direct-axis loop which receives an error signal produced by the other of the pickoffs and produces a second amplified error signal, a first cross-axis loop for amplifying the error signal produced by the one of the pickoffs and adapted to produce a first correction signal, a second cross-axis loop for amplifying the error signal produced by the other of the pickoffs and adapted to produce a second correction signal, a first summing junction for adding the first correction signal to the second amplified error signal for producing a first torque correction signal, and a second summing junction for adding the second correction signal to the first amplified error signal for producing a second torque correction signal.

The video enabled communication device and the video monitoring device communicate via a communication network in a session initiation protocol (SIP) session. In accordance with a SIP initiation path, a SIP session is established between the video monitoring device and the video enabled communication device. After establishing the SIP session, in accordance with a media path between the video monitoring device and the video enabled communication device, a video feed is received from the video monitoring device. The received video feed is transcoded. In accordance with the media path, the transcoded video feed is transmitted to the video enabled communication device.

    摘要: Waste/industrial effluents containing contaminating amounts of organic and/or inorganic species, for example effluents containing sulfate or sulfuric acid values, or effluents emanating from the production of methionine, are safely and effectively purified in high yield, by first establishing, in a first reaction zone, an axially helically descending flowstream defining a phase of combustion, this phase of combustion comprising ignited admixture of a first oxidizing fluid and a combustible fuel; ejecting the phase of combustion through a port of restricted flow passage to impart an axially symmetrical vortex flow thereto and flash-expanding same into a second reaction zone; introducing effluent to be purified into the axially symmetrical vortex thus formed; and also introducing additional oxidizing fluid into such axially symmetrical vortex, whereby the effluent is disintegrated into a multitude of droplets entrained in unit volumes of the phase of combustion and thermally treated in the second reaction zone.

    摘要: A hybrid remote-sensing apparatus is based on an active high-power microwave (HPM) illuminator and a passive infrared (IR) detector for the detection of shallow buried landmines. A 2.45 GHz, 5 kW microwave source is used for illumination and the thermal signature at the soil surface is detected in the 8-12 &mgr;m region both in near real-time as well as after a brief time-delay following illumination. The thermal signature at the soil surface is primarily made up of two components. A thermal signature occurs at the soil surface in near real-time due to the interference of the incident beam and the beam reflected by buried mines. A second thermal signature is generated when temperature contrasts due to differential microwave absorption by a mine and the surrounding soil are conducted upwards from that mine location to the surface. Both signatures are dependent on the complex dielectric constants of mines and the soil. These signatures can be used to determine the location of different types of metallic and non-metallic mine surrogates, dummy mines without explosives and live mines with explosives.
