    摘要: A radiographic film material is described including a transparent film support having first and second major surfaces coated with a subbing layer, optionally overcoated with an antihalation undercoat. Coated adjacent on each side of the film support is a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion overcoated with a protective antistress layer. The emulsion layer has chemically and spectrally sensitized {111} tabular hexagonal grains or crystals, having silver iodide in an amount of at most 3 mole %, based on silver, covering at least 50% of the total projective surface of all grains, having an average grain thickness of less than 0.30 &mgr;m. The antistress layer, or the optional antihalation undercoat or both includes a N-amino mercapto-triazole compound containing one or more alkali soluble group(s). A radiographic screen/film combination is also described including the film material.

C. for 3 minutes there is absorbed less than 2.5 g of water per gram of gelatin, characterized in that said silver chloride or silver chlorobromide emulsion crystals are chemically ripened in the presence of at least one sulphur compound and at least one gold compound, wherein gold is present in an amount from 0.01 to 1 .mu.mole per mole of silver halide, the molar ratio of sulphur to gold being less than 1.0.

    摘要: The preparation of x-ray materials, especially suitable for non-destructive testing applications, is described. The emulsion layers of said material are comprising silver halide emulsion grains containing at least 75 mole % of silver chloride and less than 25 mole % of silver bromide and are characterized by a ratio between the amount of gelatin and the amount of silver halide, being expressed as the equivalent amount of silver nitrate, of less than 0.6. Hardening of said material is performed in such a way that the amount of demineralized water of 25.degree. C. absorbed in 3 minutes is less than 2.5 g per gram of gelatin present in said material. A rapid processing system is available with a total processing time of less than 3 minutes with a developer and fixer being substantially free from hardening agents and the fixer being substantially free from ammonium ions.

A radiographic screen/film combination has also been described comprising said light-sensitive silver halide photographic film material and two supporting or self-supporting X-ray intensifying screens) comprising luminescent phosphors, wherein by contacting the film material with a sandwich of a pair of said intensifying screens and exposing said combination to X-rays, emission of radiation by said luminescent phosphors in the wavelength range for which said material has been made spectrally sensitive provides a black-and-white diagnostic image after processing of said exposed radiographic film material.

    摘要: A method of reproducing an electronically stored medical image on a hardcopy material is disclosed, said material comprising a support and on only one side thereof a silver halide emulsion layer and a hydrophilic colloid layer, wherein said emulsion layer comprises red sensitized homogeneous cubic silver chloride, silver chloroiodide, silver chlorobromide or silver chlorobromoiodide crystals having not less than 70 mole % of chloride ions and preferably not less than 90 mole %; not more than 1 mole % of iodide ions and an average crystal size of from 0.12 to 0.30 .mu.m and more preferred from 0.15 to 0.25 .mu.m; wherein said crystals are coated in an amount, expressed as an equivalent amount of silver nitrate of from 2 to 6 g per sq.m., and wherein said material has a hardening degree corresponding with a water absorption of up to 3 g per gram of gelatin at an emulsion side, the said water absorption being measured by the method disclosed herein; said method of image formation being characterized by the steps of image-wise exposure of said material with an electronically adressed red or infrared laser followed by development processing in a developer free from hardening agents in less than 20 seconds in a total processing time from 30 to 50 seconds from dry to dry, wherein said developer contains a compound corresponding to formula (I) given herein, a precursor thereof, a derivative thereof and/or a metal salt thereof, being more preferably (iso)ascorbic acid; replenishing said developer in an amount of not more than 100 ml per square meter of developed material; fixing said developer in a time from 2 to 10 seconds; rinsing and drying.
