摘要: Disclosed is an optical device which includes: optical components configured to be electrically actuated such that light transmission states are variable; a driver circuit for the optical components; a power source unit for driving the optical components; rims for supporting the optical components; temples having front and rear ends and connected at the front ends to the rims; and earpieces formed at the rear ends of the temples. The power source unit includes a secondary battery, and a charge/discharge circuit for controlling charge and discharge of the secondary battery. The secondary battery is provided near the rear end of the temple or in the earpiece.

摘要: A lithium primary battery includes a positive electrode 1 using iron sulfide as a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode 2 using a lithium alloy as a negative electrode active material, an electrode group 4 formed by winding the positive and negative electrodes 1, 2 with a separator 3 being interposed therebetween, and a non-aqueous electrolytic solution. The lithium alloy contains at least one of magnesium or tin in a range of 0.02-0.2 mol %.

摘要: In an alkaline battery, a positive electrode 2 containing manganese dioxide, a negative electrode 3, and a separator 4 interposed therebetween are housed in a closed-end cylindrical battery case 1 whose opening 1b is sealed with a gasket. The positive electrode contains graphite in such a manner that a ratio of graphite to the positive electrode is in the range of 2.5-4.3 mass %. A half-width of a 110 plane of the manganese dioxide measured by a powder X-ray diffraction analysis is in the range of 2.00-2.40 degrees.

摘要: Disclosed is an optical device which includes: an optical component configured to be electrically actuated such that a light transmission state is variable; a driver circuit for the optical component; a power source unit for driving the optical component; a rim for supporting the optical component; a temple having front and rear ends and connected at the front end to the rim; and an earpiece formed at the rear end of the temple. The power source unit includes a secondary battery, a power switch, a power switch control portion, and a use-status sensing portion for sensing the status of use by a user of the optical device. The power switch control portion performs control to turn off the power switch when the use-status sensing portion does not sense any use by the user of the optical device.

摘要: Disclosed is a stereoscopic image viewing device to be attached for stereoscopic image viewing to eyeglasses, which includes: a pair of light shutters for right and left eyes; a driver circuit for the light shutters; a power source unit for driving the light shutters; a bridge for supporting the light shutters at their inside edges; a binding portion for removably binding the stereoscopic image viewing device to the eyeglasses; and a support for supporting the driver circuit and the power source unit. The power source unit includes a secondary battery. The binding portion and the support are integrally formed with the bridge. The stereoscopic image viewing device has a center of gravity positioned in the bridge.

摘要: An alkaline battery which is superior in high-rate discharge characteristics and in moderate- and low-rate discharge characteristics is provided.An alkaline battery according to the present invention includes a closed-end cylindrical battery case 8 housing a hollow cylindrical positive electrode 2, a negative electrode 3 disposed in a hollow portion of the positive electrode 2, a separator 4 sandwiched between the positive electrode 2 and the negative electrode 3, and an alkaline electrolyte. The negative electrode 3 is made of a zinc porous body made of a collection of zinc fibers. The alkaline electrolyte includes 0.05% to 0.5% by mass, both inclusive, of at least one of polyacrylate and polyacrylic acid with respect to a mass of zinc in the negative electrode 3.

A capacity balance of the negative electrode/the positive electrode calculated under a condition in which MnO2 included in the positive electrode 2 has a theoretical capacity of 308 mAh/g and Zn included in the negative electrode 3 has a theoretical capacity of 820 mAh/g, is in the range from 0.9 to 1.1, both inclusive.
