    摘要: A reflective color filter includes: a first domain reflecting visible red colored light at substantially normal angles of incidence; a second domain reflecting invisible infrared colored light at substantially normal angles of incidence and reflecting red colored light at an oblique angle of incidence, greater than zero degrees; a third domain reflecting green red colored light at substantially normal angles of incidence; and a fourth domain reflecting blue colored light at substantially normal angles of incidence. In one configuration, the second domain overlies or underlies the first domain, but not the third or fourth domains. The reflective color filter can be used in a color liquid crystal display device.

    摘要: A multi view display comprising a light emitting element having an optical cavity formed by a first and a second reflecting layer, at least said second reflecting layer being semi-transparent, and a light emitting layer arranged between said reflecting layers, wherein said optical cavity is designed so that light emitted in at least two preferred viewing directions has a higher intensity than light emitted in other directions. The invention is based on interference phenomena in the optical cavity, making it possible to realize a light emitting element that intrinsically emits more light in the preferential viewing directions than in other directions. This emission profile makes the light emitting element very useful in a multi view display, reducing the problems of cross talk.

    摘要: A projection television receiver is given 3-dimensional functionality by mounting a lenticular array of substantially vertically arranged cylindrical lenses in front of the display screen. The position of this lenticular array is critical to the performance of the 3-D functionality. In order to correct for misalignment, the lenticular array is equipped with a photo-sensor on the side facing the display. The display is then controlled to selectively energize the pixels such that the actual position of the lenticular array can be determined. The displayed image is then shifted based on the measurement such that the user will see an optimal 3-D image quality.

    摘要: A switchable autostereoscopic display device comprises a display panel having an array of display pixels for producing a display, the display pixels being arranged in rows and columns; and an imaging arrangement for directing the output from different pixels to different spatial positions to enable a stereoscopic image to be viewed. The imaging arrangement is electrically switchable between at least three modes comprising a 2D mode and two 3D modes. The imaging arrangement comprises an electrically configurable graded index lens array. The display can be switched between a number of modes to enable the display to be adapted or to adapt itself to the image content to be displayed and/or the display device orientation.
