摘要: The present invention provides a drilling assembly for drilling deviated wellbores. The drilling assembly includes a drill bit at the lower end of the drilling assembly. A drilling motor provides the rotary power to the drill bit. A bearing assembly of the drilling motor provides lateral and axial support to the drill shaft connected to the drill bit. A steering device is integrated into drilling motor assembly. The steering device contains a plurality of force application members disposed at an outer surface of the drilling motor assembly Each force application member is adapted to move between a normal position and a radially extended position to exert force on the wellbore interior when in extended position. A power unit in the housing provides pressurized fluid to the force application members. A control device for independently operating each of the force application members is disposed in the drilling motor assembly. A control circuit or unit independently controls the operation of the control device to independently control each force application member. For short radius drilling, a knuckle joint is disposed uphole of the steering device to provide a bend in the drilling assembly. During drilling of a wellbore, the force application members are operated to adjust the force on the wellbore to drill the wellbore in the desired direction.

摘要: A fluid flow control apparatus includes a biasing member applying a biasing force to a closure member, and a sealing member receiving the closure member. A dampener operatively connected to the closure member resists a force applied to the closure member. A fluid seal is formed when the biasing member presses the closure member against the sealing member. The closure member and sealing member may cooperate to control fluid flow along a fluid conduit formed in a wellbore tubular. The apparatus may include an actuator that controls the force applied to the closure member. The actuator may adjust the biasing force, and/or the dampening force. Also, a controller control the actuator may be responsive to a signal generated at a surface location, a downhole location, and/or a signal generated by a sensor.

摘要: An apparatus for controlling flow of a fluid includes a closure member, a biasing member applying a biasing force to the closure member, and a sealing member receiving the closure member. A dampener is operatively connected to the closure member and may resist a force applied to the closure member. A fluid seal may be formed when the biasing member presses the closure member against the sealing member. The apparatus may include a wellbore tubular in which the fluid conduit is formed and the closure member and sealing member may cooperate to control fluid flow along the fluid conduit. The apparatus may include an actuator configured to control the force applied to the closure member. The actuator may adjust the biasing force, and/or the dampening force. Also, a controller may control the actuator and may be responsive to a signal generated at a surface location, a signal generated at a downhole location, and/or a signal generated by a sensor.

摘要: A drilling assembly for drilling deviated wellbores includes a drill bit and a drilling motor that provides rotary power to the drill bit. A steering device integrated into drilling motor assembly contains a plurality of force application members. In one embodiment, each force application member is adapted to exert an adjustable amount of force on the wellbore interior. A separate or common power unit at or uphole of the drilling motor provides power to the force application members. A control device and control circuit can cooperate to independently operate each of the force application members. An inductive transmission device can be used to transmit electrical signals and/or power between rotating and non-rotating section of the drilling motor. During drilling of a wellbore, the force application members are operated to adjust the force on the wellbore to drill the wellbore in the desired direction.

摘要: The invention is a control device or directional drilling tool. The control device has an electromotor drive in the orienting device. The measuring and control device is situated between the orienting device and the drill string. Cable lead-throughs through the orienting device are eliminated. The electromotor drive of the orienting device can be actuated independently of drilling operations, making it possible to perform a rapid and precise performance of an orientation process while continuing drilling operations, reducing deviations from the planned drilling program.
