Water-soluble dyestuffs which correspond to the formula (1) given below, have fiber-reactive properties and dye synthetic and natural materials, in particular fiber materials, containing hydroxyl and/or carboxamide groups, such as wool and in particular cellulose fiber materials, in deep shades ##STR1## in which: F is the radical of a dyestuff, such as of an azo dyestuff, heavy metal complex azo dyestuff, anthraquinone dyestuff or phthalocyanine dyestuff,R.sup.x is hydrogen or lower alkyl, which can be substituted by halogen, hydroxyl, cyano, lower alkoxy, lower alkoxycarbonyl, carboxyl, sulfamoyl, sulfo or sulfato;n is the number 1 or 2; andQ is a group of the formula ##STR2## in whichR.sup.z is hydrogen or lower alkyl, which can be substituted by halogen, hydroxyl, cyano, lower alkoxy, carboxyl, sulfamoyl, sulfo, sulfato or by optionally substituted phenyl, or is cyclohexyl or optionally substituted phenyl, W is optionally substituted arylene or a combined radical of alkylene and arylene, in which the alkylene radicals and arylene radicals can be substituted and the alkylene radicals and alkylene-arylene radicals can likewise be interrupted by hetero groups; the group --SO.sub.2 --Y is a fiber-reactive group from the vinylsulfone series, z is the number 1 or 2, A is the number zero or 1, B is the number 1 or 2, the sum of (A+B) being 2, X, together with the N atom and 1 or 2 lower alkylene groups and if appropriate 1 or 2 hetero groups, forms the radical of a heterocyclic ring and alk is a lower alkylene,are described.

Water-soluble triphendioxazine compounds of the formula (1) with quaternary ammonium groups ##STR1## in which the substituents are defined in claim 1. The compounds (1) have fiber-reactive dyestuff properties and dye, for example, cellulose fiber materials, wool and synthetic polyamide in deep, fast shades.

Water-soluble azo compounds of the general formula D--N.dbd.N--K are described, which have advantageous fiber-reactive dye properties and dye carboxamido-containing and in particular hydroxy-containing materials, such as wool and in particular cellulose fiber materials, in hues which have high color strength and good fastness properties.In the formula D--N.dbd.N--K, the symbols have the following meanings:D is a radical of the general formula ##STR1## in which Y is a vinyl group or an ethyl group which can be eliminated in the .beta.-position by an alkaline radical and R is a hydrogen atom, a nitro, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, carboxyl or hydroxyl group or a halogen atom;K is a radical of a mono-coupleable water-soluble coupling component, which can additionally contain an azo group, or the radical of a doubly-coupleable water-soluble coupling component, each from the series of aminobenzenes, phenols, naphthols, aminonaphthols, acylaminonaphthols, dihydroxynaphthalenesulfonic acids, phenylazoaminonaphtholsulfonic acids, naphthylazoaminonaphtholsulfonic acids, 5-pyrazolones, 5-aminopyrazoles, acetoacetylarylides, 2-hydroxy-6-pyridones and hydroxyquinolines, it also being possible for K to contain, in addition to the substituents customary in dyes, one or more fiber-reactive groups. Water-soluble dyes which contain one or two fiber-reactive groups of the formula ##STR1## in which each R is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, it being possible for both R to have a meaning which is identical to or different from one another, Y is the vinyl group or a group of the general formula --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --X in which X represents a substituent which can be eliminated as an anion, and m represents the number 2 or 3. These novel dyes can be used to dye hydroxy and/or carboxamide group-containing materials in particular fiber-materials, such as, in particular, cellulose fiber materials, in fast shades.

N.sub.1 -substituted 1H-benzotriazole hydroxyethyl sulfone compounds, a process for their preparation and their use for the preparation of dyestuffs. Compounds of the general formula ##STR1## in which R is hydrogen or alkyl which has 1 to 6 carbon atoms and can be substituted by hydroxy, sulfo, carboxy, phosphono and/or cyano, W denotes a divalent, optionally substituted aliphatic radical, (C.sub.5 -C.sub.10)-cycloaliphatic radical which is optionally substituted by alkyl, aliphatic-(C.sub.5 -C.sub.8)-cycloaliphatic radical which is optionally substituted by alkyl, optionally substituted araliphatic radical or optionally substituted aromatic carbocyclic radical, it being possible for the aliphatic radicals in W to be interrupted by hetero groups of the formulae --O--, --S--, --SO.sub.2 --, --CO--, 1,4-piperidino, --NH-- and --N(R')-- in which R' is an alkyl group which has 1 to 6 carbon atoms and can be substituted, or is an alkanoyl group having 2 to 5 C atoms, and/or for the aliphatic radicals and aryl radicals to be attached to one another through such a hetero group, and R* denotes hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, alkoxy having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, halogen, carboxy or sulfo.They are used as intermediates for the preparation of dyestuffs, such as fiber-reactive triphendioxazine dyestuffs, and can be prepared by reducing the nitro group in a compound of the general formula ##STR2## in which R, R* and W have the abovementioned meaning and A is a hydrogen atom or an acyl radical, to the amino group and diazotizing this amino group, whereupon cyclization takes place to give the benzotriazole, and, if necessary, subsequently eliminating the acyl radical by hydrolysis.

Abstract:
A process for the fixation of organic dyestuffs on materials having a fibrous structure had been found, in which an organic dyestuff containing one or several groups of the formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each represent a non-ionic, anionic or cationic substituent, with the exception of a primary or secondary amino group or the salts thereof, is applied in dissolved form onto said materials and subsequently subjected to the action of nitrous acid. The process yields fiber materials on which active substances, such as dyestuffs, brighteners, mothproofing agents, water-repellent agents, etc., are fixed fast; the novel process is especially and advantageously suitable in combination with the ice-color technique.

A water-soluble monoazo-dyestuff of the formula (1) ##STR1## in which X represents --CH=CH.sub.2 or --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --Z, the radical Z stands for hydroxyl, sulfato, chlorine, bromine, lower alkyl-sulfonyloxy, lower alkyl-sulfonylamino, phenyl-sulfonyloxy, lower alkyl-phenyl-sulfonyloxy, phenyl-sulfonylamino, lower alkyloyloxy, monosulfobenzoyloxy, phenoxy, di-(lower alkyl)-amino, tri-(lower alkyl)-ammonium, thiosulfato or phosphato, and A is a radical of a coupling component of the aminobenzene, hydroxybenzene amino-naphthalene, hydroxynaphthalene, N-naphthyl- or N-phenyl-amino-pyrazole, N-naphthyl- or N-phenyl-pyrazolone or of the acetoacetanilide series, the coupling component containing at least one water-solubilizing group, and a process for preparing these dyestuffs which are very suitable for the dyeing and printing of native and synthetic carbonamide-groups containing and native, regenerated or synthetic hydroxy-groups containing material, and yield, especially on cellulose fibrous materials in the presence of alkaline agents dyeings and prints of good to very good fastnesses to light and to wet-processing and of good stability to alkalis. The novel dyestuffs also have a very good color-build-up and yield dyeings and prints of high tinetorial strength.
