Abstract:
A plurality of vaned diffusers is disposed on a concentric plate at intervals in a circumferential direction thereof, and each of the diffusers is a curvilinear element three-dimensional diffuser having blades which are extended from a hub side of a impeller to a shroud side thereof. The blades are formed in a form in which a blade serving as a reference is stacked in a direction of the height of the blade, which is a direction of a gap between the hub and the shroud. A dihedral distribution in which moving in a direction perpendicular to a chord direction linking a leading edge of the blade as the reference with a tailing edge thereof, is set as a positive movement is non-uniform from an end portion on the hub side to an intermediate portion of the height of the blade.
Abstract:
Blades are connected to the surface of a disk and slots are formed in the surface of a shroud, which is opposite from the other surface of the shroud where the blades are to be welded. The blades are arranged on the opposite surface from the slots and a laser beam is applied from the surface in which the slots are formed, to weld the shroud and the blades. Components are installed on the surfaces of the slots on the opposite side from the blades after the blades and the shroud in which the slots are formed are welded. Alternatively, the slots are filled with a material different from that of the shroud, such as a resin. With this configuration, distortion caused by welding heat can be reduced without degrading the fluid performance.
Abstract:
A centrifugal compressor is equipped with an impeller having a blade angle distribution that makes it possible to achieve a relatively wide operating range. The blade angle of a shroud side facing a circular plate of a blade is termed a first angle and a blade angle of a hub side disposed at the circular plate is a second. The shroud side is formed in a curved shape having an angle distribution from a front area in a shaft direction toward a centrifugal direction in which the first angle is the local maximum point before a substantially middle portion and the local minimum point after the substantially middle point. The hub side is formed in a curved shape having an angle distribution from the front area in the shaft direction toward the centrifugal direction in which the second angle is the maximum local point before the substantially middle portion.

Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention improve the cache hit ratio of read data. A hard disk drive (HDD) according to an embodiment of the present invention determines whether the read buffer should be used in its entirety or the partial continuous space should be used to read read-data from the magnetic disk. When the HDD determines use of the partial continuous space, the HDD specifies the sub-buffer which is a continuous space wherein the leading-end position and the trailing-end position are coupled to each other, and executes data writing to the sub-buffer in parallel with data reading from the sub-buffer and transmission thereof to the host. The sub-buffer capacity coincides with the data length of the back data.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a media drive capable of improving command processing performance by, when a plurality of commands is queued, shortening seek time and rotational latency, and also effectively making use of the shortened period of time. In one embodiment, a HDD includes a queue capable of storing a plurality of commands, and a queue manager for optimizing the execution order of the plurality of commands on the basis of whether or not the execution of each command requires access to a medium. The queue manager determines the execution order so that medium access processing of accessing a disk for execution, and data transfer processing of transferring data between the HDD and a host, are executed in parallel with each other. For example, read processing and transfer processing are executed in parallel with each other. The read processing is adaptive to read out a read command, data of which does not exist in the cache, from the disk into the cache. The transfer processing is adaptive to transfer a read command, data of which exists in the cache, to the host.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a media drive that is intended for reduction in power consumption required for serial communications to/from a host, and a power saving method thereof. In one embodiment, a HDD includes: a cache; a host interface for transferring, to a host, transfer data read out from the cache; a host interface manager that controls the execution of commands so as to generate a transfer unnecessary period during which a command and transfer data need not be exchanged with the host; and a MPU that brings a serial communication part of the host interface into a power save mode during the transfer unnecessary period. The host interface manager determines the optimum data transfer timing of transferring data from the cache to the host on the basis of a transfer rate at which data is transferred to the host, and a read rate at which data is read out from a disk into the cache.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a photosensitive resin composition which is excellent in the compatibility (dispersibility) of photosensitive resin composition components, developability with aqueous developer solution, water resistance, image reproducibility, print wear characteristics in printing with a water base ink and plate wiping-off resistance in removal of ink adhered to any printing plate. The present invention relates to a photosensitive resin composition comprising a hydrophilic copolymer (A) obtained by copolymerizing at least (1) 2 to 15 parts by mass of an unsaturated monomer having a carboxyl group, (2) 50 to 80 parts by mass of a conjugated diene-type monomer, (3) 3 to 20 parts by mass of an aromatic vinyl compound, and (4) 3 to 30 parts by mass of an alkyl (meth)acrylate.
Abstract:
A multistage centrifugal compressor has a shaft rotatable on an axis and a plurality of centrifugal impellers fixed on the shaft and having outlets at outer peripheries thereof. Conduits connect the impellers to from a path for fluid undergoing multi-stage compression by the impellers from a suction side to a delivery side. The conduits including a plurality of diffusers arranged radially outwardly from the impellers, each impeller and associated diffuser constituting a stage. At least two of the diffusers are vaned diffusers provided with vanes having leading edges at their inlet ends. To provide high efficiency combined with low risk of rotating stalls, among the vaned diffusers, the ratio of diffuser vane leading edge radius to impeller outlet radius increases along the fluid path from the delivery of the compressor to the suction side.
Abstract:
An impeller includes a hub plate and a plurality of blades circumferentially disposed at intervals on one surface side of the hub plate. Each blade has a shape formed by piling up a plurality of blade sections in a blade height-wise direction of each blade in a reference impeller in which the hub plate intersects with the blades and which includes a linear element blade in the blade height-wise direction so as to form a curvilinear element blade. In piling up the blade sections, amounts of tangential lean and sweep to be applied to the blade sections are increased as it goes from an end face of at least one of a hub plate side end and a counter hub plate side end toward a span intermediate part of the blade.
